Hmmm maybe I am overreacting.

I know over at the Warriors its the sentiment of “at the end of the day this is just a job for these guys” but as a fan that doesnt sit well with me.

It's just the reality though. Fans are always going to be more emotionally invested in the club than the players and staff. They get paid to participate we pay to participate.

If everyone is fit for the finals (yeh right), I wonder the best team heading into the first game? Maybe something like:

1. Kennedy
2. Katoa
3. Ramien
4. Iro
5. Ronnie
6/7 Tricky
6/7 Hynes
8. Toby
9. Brailey
10. BHU
11. Nikora
12. Teig
13. Williams

14. McInnes
15. Hunt
16. Sifa
17. Tom

18. Atko

I put Williams to start due to Cam keep giving cheap penalties in first few sets.

Not sure Tricky and Hynes 6/7. Just left it open for now.

Sifa to play 55-60 mins in the middle but to chime in on some backline sweeps.

Feel for Kaufusi as he has started all year but we need a fully fit BHU leading the pack alongside Toby.

Oregon starts 24 games in a row and then is left out of the 17 for the finals?

Yeah nah.

So who misses out?
One of Royce / Tom.

Oregon has been picked ahead of both consistently. Only exception is the final 2 games of 2023 when they were down on troops so Oregon played short stints from the bench carrying injury.

So here's the run home. The key is obviously us winning our remaining four games. If we do, I don't think it's impossible for Penrith (minus Cleary) and Roosters to lose a game each. The Titans and Canberra on their day are capable of causing an upset if the Penrith/Roosters are a bit off.

Us (32 points with F/A 175)
Knights (h)
Dargons (a)
Warriors (h)
Manly (a)

Penrith (36 points with F/A 162)
Canberra (a)
Souths (h)
Titans (h)

Roosters (32 points with F/A 219)
Parra (h)
Titans (a)
Canberra (h)
Souths (a)

I don't think we'll win all 4 of our games so I'm not even thinking about top 2. For me I'm only worried about us winning enough to hold onto top 4 and hold out the dogs. 3/4 should be enough for that but 2/4 might scrape us in if they drop one game too.

Yep. I think we will finish either 4th, 5th or 6th. I think we win on Sunday and again at home against the Warriors. Dragons will be tough at WIN stadium and it being a derby so I won't be surprised if we drop that one. I know we have done better against Manly recently but I except to drop that game. So there is a big chance we only win 2/4 meaning top 4 is under threat.

I know every team can say this...but far out - those flops against Dolphins, Bulldogs and Titans is really biting us now.

Sifa wasted in the middle, needs to be on the edge.
