A real professional performance. Extremely pleasing 80 minutes. No stress, never in doubt, always in control of the game. Loved every minute of it.

A few random thoughts:
- Timoko is a handful, but Ramien was a beast.
- Levi butchering the try was the turning point of the game.
- The first 15 minutes were Panthers like with the forwards focused on the defense and the backs making most of the yardage.
- We haven't played against a Top 8 team yet (well technically the Bulldogs qualify but :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:) and the next 4 rounds will be a real test. I'll be happy even if we only go 2-2.
- Please leave this team alone come Origin.
- Is there any part of his body McInnes doesn't bleed from?

And last but not least

Ricky, Happy

We might not be beating supposed top 8 teams but we are winning by margins that the best teams do , something that we have battled to do in recent seasons . There is a different mentality this year , we are more patient and wearing teams down and then taking opportunities when they arise . The Canberra team looked shagged 10 mins into the second half .

I’m still cautious about how we’ll fair against the other contenders.

When we get on a roll with our momentum we’re one of the best looking sides in the competition. However (as we’ve seen repeatedly the last couple years) if a side is able to halt that momentum, we can crumble and give away easy points through dumb plays and mistakes.

We’ve still seen shades of it this year (Tigers and the first game against Raiders). Next four weeks will show if we’re really contenders this year.

Yep. Really looking forward to the next 5-6 weeks, that will give us a better idea of where we're at.

I agree , contenders or pretenders , but we seem to have a game plan where we are much more patient and stick to it , wear the forwards down and get ourselves back into it . The Tigers was very early season so give that a pass , everyone seems a little more even this season so the next few weeks is going to sort out where we really stand .

Raiders v Sharks

  • Judiciary: TBC
  • Dally M votes: Nicho Hynes 6, Blayke Brailey 2, Jesse Ramien 2, Sione Katoa 1, Daniel Atkinson 1

DA got a vote???
Not to say Atkinson didnt play well but i can think of maybe 5 other players deserving of a point over him.

Iro, Hazelton, Tieg, Mcinnes and Kaufusi to start with

I'm sure Ricky is just protecting Chevy. He's a young kid that has had a few big weeks.

I'm sure he has his reasons, but it's surprising looking from afar.
Didn't he "protect" Savage last year or the year before too?
Unless he thinks Hopoate is a better option for reasons I can't put my finger on.

Ricky did wonders for Albert Kelly's career

Hopefully, he's learned from past mistakes.
