Searched for his thread but nothing came up.

The original Lachie Miller.

After last playing in the NRL in 2014, former Cronulla Sharks fullback Nathan Gardner has confirmed the club he will be playing for next season.

Gardner will return to the East Campbelltown Eagles for the 2024 season, having previously played for them last season.

Flanno should give him a gig at the Dragons, he owes him

Ruined his career playing him in that Souths game when he wasn't fit

I was at both the game at Shark Park when he did the leg injury, you could hear the leg go from in front of where the new grandstand was, and I was at Stadium Australia the following week, sitting at ground level, pretty much me and my partner all by ourselves in that section of the stadium (there was **** all people there) behind the tryline where the Sharks were warming up. I remember being stunned to see Gardner there, one of the trainer walked by and I asked him if Nathan is actually playing, he laughed and told me yeah, even my partner turned to me and said ‘he can barely walk’ and she was right, Gardner was doing warm up jogs away from the team metres away from me and he could barely put any weight on the leg, he turned to me and said hello and I said hello back and said ‘becareful out there’ he just gave me a wry smile and said thank you, I appreciate it. Now I’m not saying Flanno strong armed him into playing but it’s clear Gardner was not comfortable on that leg, had no business being out there and sure enough, it pretty much ended his career. Someone was negligent that day.

So Paul Kent has been cleared. This is what he had to say afterwards.

**** he's a muppet, zero self awareness.
“It’s been seven months I’ve had to sit there and feel like I’ve been unfairly arrested [and] unfairly charged, and I’ve had to sit there and have our public reputation lacerated by people who have used it as an opportunity.”

If he is innocent that is a perfectly fine thing to say. Let's not pretend to know things we don't.

I wouldn't say I'm especially across his body of work but it seems highly likely to be 'ironic'
And if not even him, certainly his colleagues and 'staff writers'... but probably also him

He may be innocent, although that hasn't be ruled by the court

Magistrate Daniel Reiss found the Daily Telegraph rugby league writer and Fox Sports presenter not guilty after the prosecution's case was deemed insufficient.

Also this line screams of "I did the wrong thing but don't want to word it in a way that gets me in trouble"
"I didn't strike her, I came into contact with her," Kent maintained throughout questioning from the prosecution.

In saying that without guilty verdict or more reason to suspect more significant injury to her hopefully everyone can not let this mar how they felt about Paul Kent prior to the charges, which was generally still just that he was a piece of ****...

Huh? The court has found him innocent, I'm not commenting on that at all.

I think you're missing the point.
What I mean is that if he actually is innocent, then having a gripe about getting put through the court of public opinion is not a surprising or unreasonable response.

If the point is he's a tool, then sure. Probably better to just say nothing.

Why? Because he's a guy on telly who isn't very likeable? Maybe I'm missing something in the back story here.

Because this sounds like his day job.
