Hynes shouldn’t be organising as much as he should and he shouldn’t be kicking as much as he should.. we all know his running game is where he butters his bread or when he can spot a chink in the other teams armour.

In terms of building pressure, repeat sets, fifth tackle options and being a player that can settle a team and tell your forwards to just roll up the field Hynes and Moylan ain’t none of those things as well, all they both wanted to do was trick plays and we deserved the belting we got for it
Pretty sure Hynes was top 3 or 4 for repeat sets/forced drop outs. Fifth tackle options defn needs some work when we're not in that attacking zone, seems put up a bomb is the only play - but it might be also be the game plan too.

This fascination with Hynes at 7 or 6 is funny. It doesn't make a difference, he's going to be our main playmaker and he's going to do it at 6 or 7, number on his jersey makes no difference. For his FIRST year at 7 he was excellent - in the top few in TA, LBA and Forced Drop outs. Goal kicking greatly improved once he got that kicking coach in. Kicking selection needs to improve but that will come with more games.
Need to work with a controlling halfback to take the pressure off him.
You don’t want your star player touching the ball too much, the less the better.

Yes because the pass it to Hynes gameplan worked out perfect ..

You’re being optimistic - every time we’ve basically played a top shelf team we’ve sh*t the bed.

Coming second meant nothing we obviously lucked out, we’ve shown we can’t beat any of the teams in the top 8 so in reality when we look at it there is lots of improvement needed because whatever Fitz was trying to do isn’t all that tbh - good lesson for him and something that probably needed to happen
Of course I am being optimistic.

Being optimistic does not mean you do not analyse where it went all wrong or think that everything is picture perfect. Being optimistic means you get to celebrate the wins while you are analysing the losses.

The opposite is not being happy with anything at all and that leads to burn out and lots of other mental issues - because there will always be something to improve. It will never ever end. If you focus only on the negatives this will lead anyone down the rabbit hole they will never be able to get out of.

This is the end of the season for us. Time to celebrate the year we had, celebrate our wins and recover, relax, take time off, reflect and re-focus. Mentally and physically.

I trust the footy staff has identified our weaknesses and are already have plans to remedy that.

We struck out on the second week in our first year. Let's see if we can get to the GF or even win it next year.

Trindal didn't play last night. And of you are referring to the jets he just had appendicitis

A gun in every position we don't have a gun or our perception of a previous gun has changed.

More guns than ****en Texas or we're not even trying.

I know im gonna get slammed for this, but id also change the backroom and sign a new assistant other than Josh Hanney.
Wasnt a fan of his appointment initially, obviously he filled in as interim coach when Bomber left, and stayed to help with the transition
What is it specifically you dont like about his input as an assistant coach. I want to hear this.
Yeah I'd genuinely like to know as well.

As has been said a million times our halves need to be sorted. Hynes and Moylan doesn't work when it counts and never will. I don't think the answer is within, I'm a Tricky fan but I just don't think he's got the consistency.

Need an aggressive prop, we don't have one. We get dominated too often.

Yes we need a centre so Sifa can cover an edge, hopefully that's Iro but I'll need some convincing.

Our defence is a myth against decent teams and has been for most of the season, it's been masked by our ridiculously soft draw.

The way we play needs to change, you can't consistently complete sub 70% and expect to compete with the big boys, never has worked and never will. You can play that style at times but there needs to be other options, we don't have them.

Look we had a great year really but the soft draw hid a lot of cracks. A massive positive is we won a huge amount of games we were expected to win, that hasn't happened for a long time.

Plenty for Fitz to work on, I 100% back him to sort it out.

I do agree, but I do think the roosters have had some very good years and games with some crap completion rates when they won their premiership. It definitely makes life harder than it needs to be.
