NRLW Origin is on June 1st at CommBank Stadium.
Just over a week out and this is the first I have heard of it. For a game that says they want to grow the womens sport, there is not much of a build up to the big games.
Similar to the City vs Country game the other week. First I knew of it was the day the game was being played and that was only because I opened the Kayo app and saw that it was about to start.
Anyway, see below team lists. Bold are our NRLW signed players.

Holli Wheeler also would have played but injured her knee a few weeks ago that required surgery. Not sure if that means she won't be fit for the start of NRLW or not. Not much info online.

As mentioned in the rumour mill, we might be signing Tiana Penitani from Parramatta. Shes a good one.

Looking at the NRLW sigings tracker it looks like clubs are supposed to have the top 24 players signed by today.
A lot of clubs have been announcing signings today or this week.

Currently it looks like we only have 17 signed with the added 3 yesterday. It says all contract lengths will be published after the contract window is closed, so I expect us to announce a another 7 players today.

(sorry: posted wrong link originally)

6 new signings, that takes us to 23 players confirmed, assuming Penitani will be the final announcement.

Interesting that it is only six named.
This makes me think that we will be announcing Tiana Penitani later today. NRLW signing tracker is now saying "Cronulla are among the clubs linked to signing her with seven spots remaining on their roster" in their write up about her leaving Parra.
So I think this is a done deal. Great signing if true.

Pretty sure Holli was an ACL so don't think she will be fit for the start.

Saw this interview with Jamie Soward talking about the challenges of recruiting this year, quite interesting:

https://www.reddit.com/r/nrl/comments/13q84dm
It sounds quite bad about the players coming back from the World Cup and joining teams together (Roosters?).

Although he does sound a bit like "if you can't handle me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best" type coach too.

"Some people like me, some people hate me and some people don't like me" is not a resounding self endorsement is it

He sounded a bit immature at times during the interview

Now that we have our full team signed, I thought it would be interesting to see what our team may look like.
I am just guessing at this point but think this is close to what we will get. A bit of movement in the Fullback and Halves positions but my first choice is the first player named below and after that possible changes. All really depends on if Jade Taylor gets the fullback role off ET.

Yep this looks better then mine. Don't know why I thought Dodd was just half. Putting her at 9 makes everyone fit nicely.
