It's always good to have our home game up in Qld. I think our boys will go well even without the sharks home ground atmosphere.

Was thinking of going this weekend, with son & granddaughter - $475 was the cheapest option...
Jesus.

Isn’t it great that our stars can make $1m+ now, so that we can all pay $90 for a nosebleed ticket and $14 for a beer.

The cost of alcohol is crazy. But it isn't just at sporting events. Even going to the pub or a bar it costs a fortune. Half the cost of a beer, wine or some spirits is taxes though.

Yep it's why I mainly drink at home these days, ridiculous how much it costs to go out for a few beers.
Not like that hasn't doubled in price too, although it still comes in significantly cheaper than a pub.

I am blessed. The Bowling club I go to has schooners at $5 all day every day.
Bowlo's are the best. Unless your local is in Manly or other hipser-fied spot.
The designated pre-game spot for the 2016 GF was the Lidcombe Bowling Club. Had a few cheeky ones before last years GF there too (my mates a Parra supporter... tough game...) Cheap, you could actually get a seat and a short walk from the station. And the local are gas. Took the blokes there a full half of footy to realise they were watching the woman play :D

It has but like you say it's far cheaper. Costs me ~$2.80 per can for my favourite pale ale. To buy that same beer in the CBD is over $10 a schooner.

Could have Tesi Niu back, and Milford.

Win up front and keep the mistakes and missed tackles down we should be able to keep ourselves at their end where we will score repeatedly.
Let them attack our line or drop footballs near Hammer or Isaako and we will be punished.

They have the third worst defence but 5th best attack.
Conceding average almost 25 points per game vs scoring about 23.5
We have best offence, scoring almost 30, and 6th best defence, conceding around 19.

They can hang in if we let them join us in a shootout.
Sounds like Valynce Te Whare is going to be making his debut

Val Meninga!!!!

Great to hear. I'm really happy for him.
Did you watch much of him in Q cup last year Burgo? Seemed like a bit of a wrecking ball but how was his defence out there being a bigger fella?

Yeah. He's a weapon with ball in hand. Quick and way more agile than he looks, but needed to learn that in Rugby League the centres come in and do work rather than just hanging on their edge waiting for a shift.

Defensively he is still a work in progress. Sharks will test him out. He is usually a left centre, so expect Ramien and Katoa to get plenty of ball.

The touchie might get a few passes from Ramien too.
