Common sense prevailed with not signing capewell. He has been bog average the past 12 months. Kaufusi for me comes straight in once he’s back from Suspension. Replaces the forward who performs the least is game 1.

Tuilagi no idea how the **** he was picked. Would have had Gagai play wing over him. Then would have had Welch instead of Arrow for game 1.
Say what you like about capewell, but he would have been hand for them from the bench in case of injury.

You wonder if Tracey running rings around Gagai may have tipped the decision but then the Cows were comprehensively crushed.
Ponga being KO'd (or not apparently) by a slight touch to head probably didn't do him any favours either

Given the form of Walsh and how much time Ponga has missed, I would have went the same way.

I also prob would have went Campbell Graham over Turbo on recent form, but I do understand how lethal Tommy Turbo is if fully fit so am fine with it.

Yeah but Qld were famous for their 'loyalty' and Ponga had a great SOO last year. If healthy I thought they'd pick him - the knock may have answered that he is not.

Graham missing out to both Turbo and JAC does seem harsh with one being very limited until this week and the other being out until this week.

I feel like someone should start a State of Origin thread, keep it all in one spot.
Probably.... go on then!

Lochie Miller is going to be dropped so Ponga can return to fullback.

I think a few of us predicted that experiment wouldn’t last long for poor Miller. Still he got a lot more first grade already than he would of here and Ponga is only one more head knock off sitting most the season out

Seems crazy to me. Miller has been good and offers more than Gamble (who I assume comes in).

I don't see why it's so hard to just defend Ponga at fullback and play 5/8 in attack.

Yeah up until last weekends game he has been very good for them. Almost like Obrien was waiting for a bad game to justify ending his experiment

Atleast Miller got his 3 year deal

but yeah no surprise Ponga would eventually go back to fullback.

Miller will probably get another go soon enough once Ponga takes another head bump!

Can’t see Ponga last much long TBH, and it might just be in his best interest to retire before it’s too late.

I feel bad for Lachie, he has been ok this year, apart from against us really, but this is starting to feel inevitable with Ponga’s issues defending in the line and that they’ve got Tyson Gamble there as an option.

Surprised they didn’t put Miller at 5/8.

Watching the end of the Dragons / Roosters - can’t believe no Rooster - and Teddy in particular - did not contest the Hunt Hail Mary bomb .

Time was expiring - even a bobble on the catch was game over …
