At this stage of the year I mainly care about the timeslot breakdown of our Pointsbet Stadium home games (good to know when buying memberships)
  • 2 x Thu 7:50pm
    • Cowboys (Rd 9)
    • Dragons (Rd 18)
  • 2 x Friday 6pm
    • Roosters (Rd 7)
    • Titans (Rd 24)
  • 2 x Saturday 7:35pm
    • Souths (Rd 1)
    • Broncos (Rd 14)
  • 4 x Sunday 4pm
    • Warriors (Rd 5)
    • Bulldogs (Rd 16)
    • Manly (Rd 21)
    • Raiders (Rd 27)

Seems like a reasonable mix, I would have liked a couple of Saturday 5:30s instead of Thursday nights though.

Conceivably we could have the Leagues Club back for the Dragons game (29-Jun), Manly (23-July), Titans (11-Aug) and Raiders (3-Sep)... probably be lucky to get the Raiders game though.

Other home games:
  • Magic Round Sat 5:30pm vs Dolphins
  • Coffs Sat 3pm vs Knights

Don't know mate, there are 8 timeslots so not sure 4 is a good mix.

I don't recall the last one being considered especially soft last time, as you said it's a long way off to know who will rise and fall
Last 6 in 2022 were 2021 ladder positions 3, 11, 13, 4, 16, 7 - not the toughest draw, but not the softest draw either.

So not especially easy by last seasons ladder, kind of medium, with a decent amount of travel.
Last 6 in 2023 are 1, 7, 13, 3, 14, 8 (off 2022 ladder positions).

Coming up against a Queensland team at our 'home' game in magic round is kinda unlucky but we don't know how good or bad the Dolphins will be yet and I would rather play them than the Raiders like last year.

We can make top 4 again with this draw

The scariest/best teams are Panthers, Roosters and Storm and we only have to play them once but we miss out on some easier games against Tigers and Titans though we still get alot of games against other pleb teams

I am not saying we will have an easy time, I think it will be tougher than last season

Pretty sure CM has said they'll miss the 8 next year, maybe even bottom 4....

My apologies - our draw just got even easier then

FMD it would be nice to snag a win or 2 against Raiders and Brissy though - just for a change aye
It would. Was nice beating Manly at Brookie this year.

Playing the last game of the last round before finals is pretty much the only potential major negative I see..

I feel like it's a tough end of the season, with no late bye and a lot of travel.

Rd 20 - NZ
Rd 23 - Perth (v Souths)
Rd 25 - Townsville
Rd 26 - Newcastle

Throw in a tough game against Penrith in Rd 22, and Manly/Raiders who we are often poor against (21/27).

Good Free to air representation this year. They have split it much better than in previous years. A bonus for our sponsors too.
