I don't think Finucane makes origin unless there are a few injuries. Haas and Paulo likely start. Then there are guys like RCG, Saifiti, Jurbo all competing for middle minutes. Although they haven't been great, I think Freddy will stick with Jurbo and Saifit which doesn't leave room for Dale.
Saifiti has been pretty garbage this year, will be interesting to see if he gets picked.

Agree he's probably not in the first choice 17 at this stage but could easily find his way up through injuries, especially if they are close to game day.
Some of the usual suspects will get some loyalty support but really need to lift their game if they want to deserve their spots.

My guess at the moment would be
8 Paulo
10 Haas
11 Crichton
12 Frizell
13 Yeo

14
15 Jurbo
16 RCG
17 Murray

Murray could start on an edge and bench one of the other two, especially if Angus doesn't lift between now and then

Yeah, I'd have RCG over Saifiti atm, and on form, you'd probably have Crichton out too. Martin could easily fill that role, or like you said Murray on an edge to start.

Crichton has played some good series recently so could salvage a spot especially if he can lift a bit. But you’re right they could easily go Martin and rotate with Murray

I don't think you move Murray from 11.

I prefer him at lock over edge but given Angus (tbh, whole roosters side) a bit off the pace atm Murray could definitely start there.
I'd be surprised if they just went Murray/Friz and nobody on bench though. Makes Jurbo your sub if you wanna (or have to) take Yeo off and I think they'd rather it be Murray.

So I'll probably revise my guess above to 11 Murray and 17 Crichton/Martin

Defining game against the Warriors for both our attack and defence. This game has laid our foundation for what Fitz and our team stand for.

Our loss to the Raides was the third or 4th disappointing performance now which is a worrying sign. As other people have posted our apparent lack of desire or hunger is the most concerning.

In terms of our playing style - over 60 tackles in the opposition 20 for 2 tries against the Raiders is not good enough and has finally shown which we have all hinted at this year is that we can only score tries from 40+ out.

We can look like world beaters when attacking from half way and bottom cellar swellers when close to the line.

We are seriously missing some big boppers in the middle as well. Again - when the game is going our way it's an advantage with the speed we are playing however as soon as our backs are up against the wall we turn to water.

In summary - I'm starting to think those big games at the start if the year was more good luck than good management (ie taking teams by surprise).

Since the second half against Manly (they literally changed their defensive patterns ar half time), we have been very one dimensional.

We appear to get flustered when a team goes toe to toe with us, we then just start self destructing & panic,

All is good when what we are doing is paying dividends but when it doesn’t we lack composure, if the other team scores we then lack confidence, Fitzs has said this a few times in pressers (we lose confidence)

I realise we are no where near Fitz wants us to be & we have lots to work on but some of this is gunna be tough if we have guys in squad who drop their bundle when it gets tough, that’s hard to coach out of individuals, it’s part of the individual DNA.

Fitz in reality doesn't have "His team" yet.

We need a decent half, a few props and a centre.

Seems like we're living and dying with Nicho at present. Nicho gets shut down, we can't score... he plays well we look a million dollars.

Moylan is useful as Robin, just don't ask him to be Batman.

Moylan for all his faults , and there are a few , just seems to have clicked with Hynes as a halves partnership , yesterday he looked completely lost for most of the game with Trindall as his partner . It just works , a lot of supporters didn't want a bar of him but he clicks with Hynes , but everything just looked clunky yesterday . And as others have said , Trindall looked a bit lost as to what his role was in that menage a trois .
Perhaps it shows how important Kennedy really is to this team , and it's not so easy to just put a very good player into another position .

We kind of awkwardly had three blokes who all thought they were the secondary playmaker.

Usually it is clearly Hynes in some areas and him and Moyza do a good job of splitting the workload in others.
Kennedy has a separate, very distinct role.
Now this game we had three blokes who all seemed to think they were the equivalent of Moylan.

Yeah, we looked like a car trying to go full speed with the handbrakes on.
