The defense has been focused on Hynes and are then then pushing up committing to what Kennedy is going to do but Kennedy doesn't get the ball and by now our centre has received it with a tonne of space to his outside and behind the line and passes it onto our winger who has plenty of room to work with and can make a beeline for the try line.
Yep that's exactly what happened with our last try against Parra. Hynes was lurking out the back and they were 100% expecting him to get the ball, not Moyza.

Kennedy in our backline is definitely one opposition defenders would be consciously wary of.
He poses a legit high level run and pass threat.

And you can use that to your advantage by playing around him.

Like HP mentioned Hynes is similar and Moylan read that beautifully to not pass to him, allowing Teig to crash over and win the game.

Maybe, but Trindall would have scored the try himself....under the sticks.

I wonder if we have a different gear?

The game has changed but in 2016 we could play expansive footy but also grind the **** out of teams.

Wonder if there's a plan b because there will be times when things just don't go right.

I have a feeling we do or there is one in development.

We also seem to have a lot of creative players in Nicho, Moylan, Brailey and Kennedy. They can create a lot of havoc.

The thing that excites me most this year.

We are so ****ing fast!
I can’t remember a Sharks team with this much speed!

Do you reckon we are? We don't really have any real speedsters.

I reckon some of our teams in the late 90s/early 2000s we're out fastest.

Another interesting look at our attack, through a break down of Talakai's freaky half of footy against Manly.

Brilliant article but excuse me if I am nitpicking but they've got the wrong Brailey.

What I have really noticed in our sweeping plays compared to other teams is our crisp passing. If you look at our plays we are always passing out in front meaning our players are catching at full speed.

Compare that to other lower teams where you will notice many times the players have to slow slightly to catch the pass etc.

I love it too but I do hope Fitz has a plan B or C. I'm sure no matter how good it is, defences will work out how to nullify it. And there are not many centres like Harper who are as poor defensively. Des worked that out at half time when he replaced him and we didn't have the same success in the second half.

I agree with your point Chadly but, as far as that game goes, we really didn't get many opportunities running into that howling wind in the second half, so a bit hard to judge whether Des had worked us out or not.

They also adjust by rushing up on him more.

We could have adjust to this by playing a little deeper or mixing the looks up more such as cut outs, Kennedy deeper, even stuff like swapping Talakai and Teig for a run or two.

We clocked off and decided to try get the boys on the other side some points instead.

Yep, agreed, and I should have remembered that as I was out there in that bloody gale. Under cover and safe in the Matty C stand at least but could certainly see how tough it was out there. Rained constantly too.

Agreed too Bort. Although I am not sure the term "clock off" is in Fitz's vocabulary though - I think privately he would have been pissed off with that second half no matter what the conditions were like.

Also - these moves only really work 30+ metres out. We seem to get stuck in the opposition 20 and on the last tackle.
