Mmmm... Brooks hasn't exactly grown into the role, which has been a problem for the Tigers. But yep, if there's someone chomping at the bit to take that role it's best all round to let him take a crack at it.

Peachy has started to look like the rest of the team. His energy and scheming'ness seems to have left him. It doesn't give you a good impression of the culture when you see decent players turn into poop
On the scale Brooks is turning out to be a lot closer to Chad than to Joey/Thurston/Cronk.

He looked decent at times when they weren't paying him much and he had better players around him playing well.
You really don't want him eating up too much of your cap, or as your primary spine player. Very Chad.

Brooks is a worse player then Chad Townsend.. how they have persisted with him is crazy. Even the warriors flicked SJ
You added this as I wrote the above. There'd probably be people to argue both ways which is pretty damning to Brooks given general low opinion of Chad. I think Chad's less seen positives (good gameplan leader if not good man leader, good 'coach') which the cowboys overpaid for god bless them probably do put Chad ahead of Brooks if you had them on an equivalent wage.

Sorry, have I missed something?
is this the tigertown forum?
Sorry here's me trying to discuss the NRL in the forum of our NRL team like some kind of jackass!

My bad - like Gumby suggested, no discussing in the discussions!

These are moves I thought was interesting which were direct fallout from our game against them. If you're not interested be very selective about which threads you click into, I also mention the dogs in one!

I actually think Brooks has better natural attributes than Chad. A shame really that he hasn't put them on display very often

The one where you decided to join in after you'd already complained?

Regardless of whether you actually had an issue with me mentioning the tigers or not my response is sarcasm heavy - a joke reply

Yes he's probably more athletically gifted than Chad. Especially right now at 27 vs 31.

Chad has always been a bit more a Cameron Smith style where he never really looks physically like he should be a great rugby league player.
Except Chad follows it up by playing like he isn't one too.

If Brooks played with Chad's effort levels he would be a pretty good NRL player.

At least Chad always tried to lead the team around and get involved. Brooks just doesn't seem interested.

That he did. Though I've started noticing how often Brooks gets the ball and ends up taking the tackle because there's no-one around to give it to... it's pretty often!

Just watched the replay. We were absolutely terrible in this match.

We play any top 6 side like that we’ll get rolled IMO.

if we rolled out our 2021 defense Tigers might have gotten within 12 points or so. we defended our terrible ball handling and mistakes for 79 minutes

As for Brooks, well big difference with Chad is that we never paid him $850k

Kind of like the loss we had to have - except we won 30 to 4

Nothing stopping us treating it like a loss (it kinda felt like one) and still pocketing the 2 points ;)

That final try was the try we had to have, especially Ronnie. Expecting a big game from him with his head well and truly screwed on.
Is he lining up against Coates?
