If the player is ahead shouldn’t he just continue running? I thought that action constitutes the disappearing.
Yeah if Robson just keeps running all the way through I think it would of been fine. He would of been thinking “offload to me or score if you can” though in the split moment

One of those plays that when slowed down and wrong place just cost them. Good for us terrible for them

Yeah at the point he was ahead of play he can to push forward out of the way.
If you can’t legally contribute to the play you can’t also be in a defenders way.

A little harsh but probably correct
Yeah, and they always call those. It's one thing players should know by now will get consistently blown

Haven't read through the thread, thoughts on their disallowed try?

Not sure what their support player was meant to do. I would have been livid if that was us.
Not too dissimilar to our disallowed try a few weeks ago (against the warriors or dogs maybe?).

Had the 14 point victory vibe .
BUT , alas , could pick the Winning total .
Sharks by 4 next week 😀
I lost a $10 bet tonight which was paying $41:

Sharks first to 10 - tick.
Shark 13+ - tick
Total points under 40.5 - tick.
Kotoa 2 tries - 1 only.

Spewing

Gamble responsibility.

After he got in front of JT he is no longer a support player as he can’t legally contribute to the play so does that mean he becomes the decoy and cannot stop in the defensive line? They are saying black and white it’s a no try

Cowboys are the sookiest team in existence that has ever existed

it's not our fault they had some shits play in the 3 game exhibition series

these Qlander teams can't handle it when the ref doesn't suck them off - where was that famous passion and grit tonight ??????

we weren't perfect but we did enough

suck **** to them - maybe they need to pay Chad more

I think he’s up there as the worst centre.. has a dig but centre is not his spot he only gets in there because there’s no one else

Doesn’t create, The play dies with him 99% of the time
Strong player, needs to atleast be kept in one position for a season, the guy plays wing and centre on both sides of the field, and has been used as a utility. Not alot of backs can handle switching to a side theyre not use to. Give him more game time in one position, build combinations and he'd develop into a gun centre

Im a Queenslander & proud to be one but Cowboys have to stop sooking on that 1 obstruction call. Our discipline regarding general errors & 6' agains was pretty bad, we were defending our goal line the majority of the match I felt. They easily had more then enough chances but we held them to only 2 tries. Our chances we had we took advantage of the most of them. Even the penalty from the "obstruction" call, Katoa got through with ease on our 20-30mtr line. Anyone have an update on Katoas injury btw? Up up Cronulla!

Totally. Someone should tell Payten to check the scoreboard, if JT’s try is allowed and the penalty against Hess not given, we still win by 6.

He should have stayed behind or run through the line. Admittedly the line was broken and in line with JT, but the rule still applies. Obstruction has to be a black and white rule with no room for ref interpretation, otherwise we go back to the bad old days of decoy runners obstructing the defense and fingers crossed the ref interprets the rule in your favour. It was a **** show before the rule became black and white.

Yeah, this is never the case.

If either of those events change, then the whole rest of the game changes and no one knows how the game pans out from there as it never happened. We might win by 50+, or lose by 12………

If JT’s try was awarded then the restart is from half way and every other event afterwards is different. Same for the penalty.

So, We can’t say, “even if it was allowed, we still win” based on the end score line.
The only thing this Theory might be true for is conversions (or missed conversions), as the chain of events doesn’t change. The conversion attempt and restart are still part of the same chain of events of the game being played out, but a no try call or penalty changes the chain of events, therefore changes the game.

Dunno what they are whinging about with the obstruction, it was black and white. We had a way worse one a few weeks ago when the opposition literally tackled our player without the ball into the position where he was called for obstruction.

We were kinda lucky the ref was on his game, cause we were pushing the wrestling a bit far and the Cowboys were trying to milk everything.

Story of Origin... Qld just get it and NSW don't care enough. Of course no one was saying that last year when they lost the series that had 3 games in Qld.
