Yeah, this is never the case.

If either of those events change, then the whole rest of the game changes and no one knows how the game pans out from there as it never happened. We might win by 50+, or lose by 12………

If JT’s try was awarded then the restart is from half way and every other event afterwards is different. Same for the penalty.

So, We can’t say, “even if it was allowed, we still win” based on the end score line.
The only thing this Theory might be true for is conversions (or missed conversions), as the chain of events doesn’t change. The conversion attempt and restart are still part of the same chain of events of the game being played out, but a no try call or penalty changes the chain of events, therefore changes the game.
You’re making my argument for me. By that logic, which I agree with, Payten cannot say it cost them the game. Which is what he’s saying.

Brailz pushes his luck, I thought he was holding down and wasn't shocked he was penalized or even put in the bin. havn't re-watched it so maybe Cows player was holding onto him but my first impression through the goggles was fair enough

Those innocent 16 year old boyz looks don't help him with the refs

It was a borderline call for Brailey's tackle, but the theatrics and previous 6-agains were enough to force the refs hand

Yep, clean up until that point I think ref could just have easily called Gilbert for milking as 6 again.
Our previous ill-discipline forced that outcome.

Annesley confirmed what we all knew that JT’s try was correctly over ruled

The hillbillies up North having a hard time accepting a correct ruling
Sat next to a family a few years ago at Shark Park that had flown down for a Cows game. A bigger bunch of hicks you would never meet
