No 'utility'!

Wonder if that will hold up until kick off or if Andrew's 'knee' will flare up again and bring in Tracey or Trindall

A fairly light set of reserves too with only one forward named but I guess with a four forward bench coming off a week off you shouldn't expect to need to dip into reserves too much.

With Tracey, Trindall and Miller all named in Reserves there is absolutely no reason in my eyes to also select Dykes unless you want him to know he's in your plans.

I’m guessing Fitz is running with a horses for courses approach with the squad named to take on the dogs with no utility.

Make no mistake, the dogs will fancy there chances of exposing our middle.

So was the Covid rumour during the week just a rumour or have we had limited preparation around Wade, Cam and Dale?

That's a good point, forgot about that. You'd think one of the 4 spine/utility would be off the Reserves list if those three were in question.
Will assume they are all shaping up as definite starters

I like the look of the big bench for this week with Andrew's injury concerns and Dale just back, and hopefully this means a few less minutes for Toby. Teig definitely needs to stay in the side and I'm happy with him off the bench.

Does this squad mean Trindall doesn't get to play 80 for Newtown?

Fifs has had a few weeks off so should hopefully be fresh.
Would think if no changes by Friday Trindall plays jets.

Trindall may well play for Jets as he is currently 19th man, no reason not to.

I'm personally somewhat dubious if Andrew dropping out of 17 (for Dale) last game was actually a knee issue or just that was said to cover for him falling out of side.

Yes, the Covid reports sound a bit fishy to me. I saw nothing reported on line or in the papers about it so I think it was just a big red herring. When I first saw Dale hadn't made the run on side I thought, "oh here we go." But being named on the bench means he may still start.

Cheers lads. Actually... does he get a start there? Surely... but we have a few prospects nipping at that first grade utility spot...

That's a good question... 7 Trindall 6 Dykes 1 Miller 14 Metcalf maybe?
Metcalf playing well but he made that bed

I haven't seen or heard anything other than our rumour thread so I am treating it as such.

Covid news was in the papers.

A few on the coaching staff got it too. Was like 6-7 in total as soon as they got back from Coffs, was assumed they caught it up there

Wow people have contacts in high places. Using the media to make up stories to validate posts in the rumour thread is next level! Well done.

I think you're right with Cam going back to the bench. He's so much more effective there when he comes on after 20 minutes. Would like to see Tracey grab that utility spot also. Offers a lot more than Trindall imo.

I didn't read that email, I always prefer to get the team list from the NRL website.

Who reads the papers these days? I certainly don't.
