I'm on the Royce train. I don't by any means think he is the finished product, but I think he has loads of potential and I'd definitely be keeping him. I can't imagine him costing much either.

If BHU starts, I think the bench needs one smaller minute aggressive forward like Royce, Kaufusi, or Pele. If you choose not to play a utility I think there is room for a second.

Assuming we are at full strength, I'd have:

8. BHU
10. Finucane/Toby
13. McInnes/Finucane

14. Toby/McInnes
15. Williams
16. HARMEN - Royce/Kaufusi
17. Utility/Royce/Kaufusi/Other forward that steps up such as Hazleton or JC

And realistically we know the chances of having your starting 6 middles all available at once is very rare so if it is Royce/Kaufusi/Williams, Nut or Calhorn missing out from 'the best 17' they will still get plenty of chances through the year.

Exactly, and that is some damn handy forward depth.

Not much discussion of the actual game happening here, I guess we are all hoping in some way we’ll turn up and get the job done.

I don’t know if it’s just my pessimistic manner sometimes but the Titans worry me despite being last on the ladder. And we didn’t exactly start fast against the Warriors and we know we seem to not win the games we’re supposed to.

Not too much to discuss in this one for me, we show up and win or we don't show up and lose.
Third option I guess we don't show up get off to a bad start, get our **** together and win but not as easily/well as we should have.

AJ good fullback but I think they are better with Campbell there and AJ at 6. Sexton and Turner a halves pairing that we should be able to put a lot of pressure on and have some success forcing poor decisions.

They have two strong centres with decent wingers outside them but I think their belly should be soft enough we can pressure them down the middle enough to give ourselves adequate space out wide. Given our centres are very power based games and both theirs are quite physically strong, especially Herbert in D this season, they might handle our centres well if we don't earn the spread.

Tino is always a run threat you need to shut down but isn't the hardest worker in defence for a lock so a bit of ball movement in the middle to keep them moving around could help us a lot in the back end. For this reason amongst many others Dale would be a good inclusion.

Warry of Mo on their bench trying to force himself back into international/Qld consideration.

Yeah missed that until you pointed it out .

Youngest brother in the dynasty and none of them like us …
No excuses though. Even we think we are getting unfairly targeted in defence in opposition 20, we need to stay back that extra bit longer.

That was plain embarrassing last week, went back and rewatched yep we were pretty much always offside, surprised couple didn’t get called a tackle earlier

I really don't know what to say about this game, Chaddie. We've got a few fitness question marks. The Origin Gods are playing silly buggers with the form guide. We are lousy at playing away. They are a lousy footy team.

We'll only know when it's over!

100%. Funny how we talk about the ref in here before the game even starts

I was at the game. He had plenty of energy to run back 15 when we were defending but could only manage about 8 for them.

Being in front of the ref shouldn't mean we are offside if they were fair dinkum.

Used to wonder sometimes when playing how the other team could be playing ball bang on a 10m line yet the next 10m line seemed to suggest ref had us like 12-13m back

Most of these descrepancies would be fixed if the refs actually just went back 10 (instead of 10-12). Just adds another layer of confusion and reason for complaints from fans etc.

Iv always thought what If you took only the overhead camera and documented how far the average 10m is for different teams and refs then make it public “IF” it’s against us a week or so before finals footy.

I’m surprised it’s not a thing talked about or done before ( maybe it is but never heard of it )
It always feels over the years we are hard done by with the 10 but hard to say if it’s just watching closer to certain teams with bias.

Sounds like something Bennett would try.

But the 10 is at the discretion of the officials. And it should be, you can't expect them to land exactly 10 back from the play the ball every tackle.
I don't think you get pinged too much if you're not percieved to be rushing up early. Or Andrew Fifita.
