From what I saw thru the bottom of my glass. I think Nicho has to much responsibility. Maybe an Olympic partner might be the go. No captaincy might help also

Tonnes to work on, when you play a team that knows our weak spots & can execute it really becomes magnified.
A good spanking by a team has been coming for a while, it could have been a lot worse & thankfully the Roosters are still not clicking yet otherwise it could have been real ugly.

Hopefully, this loss is a big wake up call for us, certain individuals, the past 6 or so weeks where we play crap, get beaten, then the following week get a unconvincing win has seen us just plod along & not be accountable probably like we need to be.

The fact is, we have played a nice viewing attacking footy, shown some resolve in games but it’s not something we’ve done against a good team, you could argue we are the flat track bullies.
We now sit in the bottom part of the 8 where it’s been a common position on the ladder for us the past 4-5 yrs (outside of last season where we made the decision to f#+k our season inside the first 2 months)

We should really be prudent as to who we re sign moving forward, these players have been part of us being a 6-8 position team, if we keep re signing them we’ll keep getting the same results

Not a difficult game to analyse

Roosters were simply too good in that first half, their line speed and offloads killed us. We struggled to keep up with the pace of the game. We started the year as a quick team but other clubs have caught up.

They wrestled and held down in the ruck and tackles better than us as well and when we tried to do it they managed to pop an offload after we over committed an extra tackler. Our halves were struggling and our backs couldn't get into the game

Roosters got tired in second half and we finally started having some calls on errors and penalties (Roosters got a bit sloppy as they tend to) go our way and we got momentum and field position. And with the Roosters line speed not there to the same extent we had a bit more room and played with some more depth and created opportunities.

In summary when a team has good line speed and plays aggressively with big players we don't seem to have many answers. If the defense is passive or retreating we can expose that. Unfortunately the better teams tend to have the good line speed.

I thought alot of contact with the head wasn't called by the ref tonight, I think he saw it he just was ok with it. Strange cause just a few weeks back any contact was usually pulled up and dealt with by the ref or video ref
