Right up there with Jesus the Christian and inclusion should only matter when it affects you
Cool so lets have Christian round next year where everyone has a cross on their jersey. If you aren't one it doesn't matter doesn't affect you. Looking forward to it.

But some Christian churches don't like to display a cross because they consider it a graven image

Be interesting to see the lineups once all the non-Christians opt out for “no reason” like you think they should as it doesn’t represent them and I guess make sure they do it right - no players with tattoos or remove any sponsors that don’t sit right.
Which fabric will the jerseys be made from?
Hopefully a step in the right direction towards Christian’s in the NRL finally feeling comfortable enough to express their faith with things like prayer circles before and after games

Going on a massive tangent boys.
A tangent away from… general discussion?

At the games, they could replace beer with myrrh.

There are a lot of Christians with tattoos. But anyway. Whoever wants to boycott it can.

Lol I guess the truth is anything offends someone.
It's number 2 in the 10 Commandments.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images.

The churches that have a problem with it see the cross as a representation of Christ. So they believe they have been instructed not to make crosses for the purpose of worship.

They're not so much offended, it's just another of the limitless interpretations you can make from any given piece of text.

I’m a Christian. I find it good for my inner peace and I have a good group of guys I meet regularly with each week where we can discuss issues or problems with our mental health in a free and open manner.

But I would not take the same stand as the Manly 7.

Happy to wear a Sir Chadley jersey mate! No consultation required!

There is no decision making at all with which culture or family you are born into.
I completely empathise that the cultural element would be tough for these guys, and you mentioned elsewhere about the consultation of it and I think manly ****ed that too.

But they chose to oppose because of their religion. I know culture and religion are intertwined, but surely you don't think they have less of a choice in their religion than their sexuality?
