So 108 tackles inside bulldogs 20 should see us put on 10 tries then 50% conversion rate there is our 50 points…

Haven't seen him play yet, but have watched some highlights of Valance Te Whare's first few games in Q Cup. Has a body like Greg Eastwood but runs like Bronson Xerri.

Giving him the Calquhoon treatment!
I've seen a couple highlights of him, agree he is massive but moves very nicely. Don't think I'd quite say Xerri but maybe how Xerri would move if he was that size (which he kind of is now).
Didn't think he'd start for The next year but looks now like he could be in with a shout.

Here's one for anyone wondering:

Don't remember seeing the full list here and thought it was interesting. They're quietly building a reasonably handy little squad to kick off with... but still obviously need a couple of marquee players to steer them around.

DOLPHINS

2023 squad:
Euan Aitken (2024), Jesse Bromwich (2024), Kenny Bromwich (2025), JJ Collins (2023), Tom Gilbert (2023), Jamayne Isaako (2025), Robert Jennings (2025), Isaiya Katoa (2025), Felise Kaufusi (2025), Edrick Lee (2024), Conelly Lemuelu (2024), Jeremy Marshall-King (2024), Mark Nicholls (2024), Ray Stone (2024), Valynce Te Whare (2024), Mason Teague (2023), Jarrod Wallace (2024)

Development players: Harrison Graham (2023), Jack Bostock (2023), Ryan Jackson (2023), Michael Roberts (2023)

Coach: Wayne Bennett (2025)

The squad is decent other than the spine, which is attrocious.
Isaako, JMK, Katoa, OSullivan atm

Probably need someone so Katoa has time to develop. Rumours of a handshake with Milf but also has just sold his house in Brisbane...

Also need to push Isaako to wing because they have a better fullback.

I have no doubt they will be competitive by the time next season roles around. They will be able to attract some reasonable spine players by then with the squad they have.

Yeah. Someone somewhere will get unhappy, homesick, need the money, or do some stupid **** to get the boot from his existing club. They are Rugby League players.

There should be a big chunk of money still left to get those couple of marquee names too, based on that list. Plently of first graders there but not too many other clubs would have put up any kind of decent fight to sign.
