$80 to mow, edge and blow all the clippings off paths/driveway - I been seeing a lot of him the last few months. He cut his xmas holidays short because lawns across Canberra were going ape ****.

Haha he was pretty non perplexed about the whole situation, almost annoyed at chris haha

Not bad I guess but reckon I'll keep doing it myself. You're block might be bigger but it's probably dearer in Sydney, every bloody thing is.

Who we tipping for the wooden spoon this year?

For me it’s the cowboys.

Hard to go past them. Imagine Tigers & Bulldogs improve, now Cowboys look the team with their cap in all sorts with millions tied up in wasted/unhappy/average players. Wooden spoons usually follow poor cap management.

Knights could really implode too I feel.

Are Tigers better this year squad wise?

I can't name names but thought I read/heard something about them improving it. I haven't paid much attention to anything but us in a long while but
Gildart, Hastings, Peachey
Recently Starford Toa, probably some other I can’t think of or randoms

A lot of this season may depend on how Gildart and Hastings convert to NRL, and how well/when Dooey gets back into side.

Year after they have Papali’i and Api coming but that doesn’t do them any favours for this year.

They remind me a bit of us in the early Flanno years. A bit difficult to attract top level recruits but if you have a plan in mind you never Fla-Know

I think that's what I based my "should improve" off. Gildart, Hastings, Peachey doesn't impress me so they're probably still contending around the bottom rungs.

Their fans must be hoping to at least get back to their customary 9th for this year, about as ambitious as they can realistically be

Our current coach has a no ********s policy and that is obviously the the best approach if you can afford it. But if you're part of a club that isn't quite as attractive to players, sometimes you have to throw caution to the wind and hope that a few gambles pay off.
Fascinating stuff and glad that we're in the former league. Very thankful.

I’m probably more interested in whether Brisbane and Bulldogs can actually turn into half decent teams than which of the also rans is the most worst.

If I was ranking squads it’d be hard to go past Cowboys for last, although Tigers and Dragons quite weak too.
Late return by Dooey or injury to someone like Hunt can sink either of those teams easily enough.
Injuries can move a lot of the weaker teams to a spoon contender pretty easily though.

With Jayden out for extended period if not season wouldn’t take much to sink knights for example. And Warriors are another one added to mentioned above that wouldn’t take much adversity to find themselves holding the ladder up at the end of the season.

Admittedly not a very decisive answer…
