I did but went the Bucks. I have no idea about NBA so just went the faves.

South Korea are through ahead of Uruguay after beating Portugal. Thats a third AFC team into the next round. Absolutely incredible.

Also want to point out that all three of the Eastern Asian teams got through, and none of the Western Asian.

Qatar, Saudis and Iran in the bin.

Mate, even im a little emotional about it. Asian football is looked down upon in Europe and South America especially, its massive for the region for these countries to go through and give some World top 10 European and South American teams a black eye while doing so.

The only other Asian World Cup was in 2002 right? That year South Korea made the semis

If that were the case then the Western Asian countries would of done well, i.e Qatar, Saudis and Iran but they’re all gone. Japan has been a rising giant in football for a decade. The programs they have in place are second to none, in some ways I’m not surprised they got out of their group. South Korea and Australia are overachieving but they’re winning on sheer grit and a good counter attacking game plan.

You could argue Saudi and Iran performed quite well. The only disappointment was Qatar, but they are **** anyway and only there because they bribed the world cup
