There was a couple of things for mine that made it a no try. Williams had stopped. I don't think you can argue if you're not trying to get out of the line. And Talakai change direction to hit that hole. Adds up to creating an advantage which U think should be penalised

Oh it was a no try by the rules for sure. Williams had stopped but was past all defenders on the Talakai side of the ball when he did so. Aitken got rewarded for not moving up level with teammates when change of direction requires him to go into Williams at point Takakai is already breaching line

It was disappointing but it wasn’t a try to the letter of the law. And if you honestly think it would have been awarded to those other clubs that’s just bunkum mate.

How many times do those "top" clubs get away with everything especially Melbourne compared to all the other clubs mate? I know a lot of people that think it is ridiculous these days.

It was a no try for sure after watching it a few times in general not denying that but there are a few of those clubs that get away with a lot of other controversial decisions compared to the other clubs.

That’s the sad thing mate. And it’s something the NRL needs to address. Someone mentioned before about inconsistency. That’s what the NRL has to deal with and unfortunately a lot of people misinterpret this for “some clubs getting their own way.” It is easy to form this opinion and quite frankly when I was younger I did think some teams had it better.

But there’s an old saying, “you make your own luck in this world” and some teams work hard at it.

The other saying is “the harder I work, the luckier I get.”

I truly believe that no referee suddenly thinks, “hang on this is the Roosters or this is the Storm (etc) we’d better give them this try.”

Yes they make wrong decisions that make them seem corrupt but they’re not. They’re just inconsistent.

I don’t recall us getting too many bad calls in 2016. And if we did, we were good enough to overcome them.

We really have to stop thinking that the refs or NRL are out to get us. It’s just that as a team at the moment we’re not working hard enough.

We have to be smarter.

Looking for shortcuts is the road to failure.

Work hard and the rewards will come.
