Frizell can’t play origin again. Was a passenger all series. Knights got him a few years too late, then again maybe the fresh start will be good for him.

And can we actually pick some ****ing centres. Next year if Best, Lomax or Chrichton aren’t in that team so help me god.

Congrats to QLD, you somehow pulled the NSW teams pants down AGAIN, scratching my head how we lost this series with all things QLD cards had stacked against them or should have been in our favour.

Side note, anyone think those infamous book makers that hover around the IPL may have got to Val? I thought Val was one of NSW’s best last night.

I had QLD H2H @ 3.10 then a little more on Val anytime into QLD 1-12 @ 8.20 so I was urging QLD not to score at 20-12.

I had QLD & NSW to both score 15+ points

That dog cleary wouldn't kick a field goal at the end to sort ol Gards out

I wish someone would pay me $50k to **** talk people

The Post Office has a job for you

Just looking at the run metres on NRL website and has Haas for 7 runs for 35m.

What an absolute piss take. For a blues side that struggled getting out of their end a starting prop rolls that out.

Can't believe all these comments on here saying NSW were dudded by bad ref decisions.

NSW simply weren't good enough. End of story.
QLD obviously wanted it more and played out of their skin.

They made metres easily and pinned us on our own 10m too many times.
Whenever we kicked it was on our own 30m, when Qld kicked it was usually an attacking one around our 30m-40m.

I'm surprised we only lost by 6 points. Our defence kept us in the game but our attack was woeful.
Yes, losing Teddy early on did not help but there was still enough attack out there to win the game.

No excuses at all for that loss, anyone blaming refs have rocks in their head.
No penalty try as far as I am concerned, JAC was way too far from the ball to be 100% sure he'd have got there.

Honestly though Qld line speed was ridiculous for most of the game. Ref only pinged them offside once too from memory. In particular I think they were keen to shut down Haas
NSW forwards never got a chance to build any speed up. But yeah, Haas didn't do us any favours.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I think starting Paulo in his place would have been my preference.

Brown should have got much more time, at the expense of Jurbo who offered nothing either.
Either Yeo should have come on for 13 and Brown to prop or Finucane to prop and Brown to 13. I don't think Yeo & Finucane both should have made the side.

Game 2 Munster goes to sleep and Qld bring on a half. Game 3 things are going well and they bring on a dynamic young hooker. Our bench offered nothing like that.
A lot of bad luck goes into losing your fullback and then a half but I think some kind of spine cover/impact player would have been smart and as it turns out, probably huge. Imagine we straight swap injured Teddy for Pap? Puts game on a whole different trajectory.

At least these young NSW centres will be ready for next year so we can run some positional specialists there (if we had two centres we could have had Wighton on the bench for example, or starting and Walker on bench).

Can't believe all these comments on here saying NSW were dudded by bad ref decisions.

Qld were by far the better team for most of the game. The ref did hurt NSW a bit, but Val dropping multiple tries hurt Qld, thus keeping the score close.
If Blues had more luck with referee they could have pinched the win, assuming Val continued to suck. If Val had been on then Qld would have won by another 10 at least, which probably best reflects how dominant they were for much of the game.

I did raise a few points around a couple of ref things previously but I 100% believe Blues lost the game themselves (through team selection, being outplayed and injury bad luck all more than referee). Only major ref gripe was I thought Kaufusi should have been binned.

I also don't care that Gal said what he did, I wish he didn't but he works for channel 9 now so that is his priority. Just like the referee Blues should have been good enough to overcome this.

I’m not talking about the 6 blokes on the pre game. As long as both sides are represented equally and given equal time in the build up, I’ve got no problem with the ex footballers offering insight into their states teams.

I’m talking about the play by play commentary during the match, which should always be fair and balanced no matter what sport it is. Commentary doesn’t need to be biased cheerleading for it not to be bland. You can disagree with that all you want but in my humble opinion, it’s the way it should be.

Ray Warren is the play by play caller & he does just that. Fatty's job is to chip in here & there, just because you know who he wants to win doesn't make it unfair. The fact everyone is literally dressed in blue or maroon makes it pretty transparent. Just because Joeys a blue doesn't make his observations less relevant to me because I'm backing the other side. I don't really feel the bias or cheerleading.

This quote from Paul Kent sums up why NSW are always behind the 8 ball in origin. And it doesn’t just apply to Bennett, it’s a principle QLD SOO coaches get better than NSW for some reason.

For Bennett it is not just about talent according tothe Daily Telegraph’s Paul Kent.

“Wayne was a young coach, like every young coach, coaches fall in love with talent,” he said on Origin Footy on Fox.

“When they fall in love with talent they pick talent. New South Wales every year fall in love with talent. Wayne has said this often - the making of him as a coach was when he realised what players he could win with and what players you can’t.

“You can’t always win with talented ones because they lose discipline.”

Definitely feel Gus' bias. Though he's really the only one trying to veil it in some air of impartiality

He’s literally cheering over the mic when they score tries. That’s cheerleading.

You might not mind that sort of bias in the commentary box, that’s fine, that’s your deal. Me personally, I just can’t stand bias commentators, no matter the sport. Just how I see it bud.

How was the streaker/ pitch invader in the 7th minute.

That has to be one of the earliest, didn’t even to get to watch 10mins of the game.

Even he made more run metres than Walker

Fair enough. Can't be easy to get unbiased neutrals for a comp with only 2 sides. Like week to week easy to make sure a commentator doesn't do his team's game but everyone is going for 1 of only 2 options at SOO.

I get where you're coming from.

I usually hate it too but it doesn't bother me for Origin for some reason.

Definitely would for a club game.
