On Moyza for 'source' Bomber also states he has been out most of preseason and suggests there is a good chance JMoz will be fullback for round 1

edit: NRL physio on facebook has just done a post, mentions a heap of players but I have cut out the non Sharks. Confirms a lot of the above (but would be mostly via same sources).

Injury updates:
- Matt Moylan is still not back in full training after 4 hamstring injuries restricted him to 11 games last year. He’s ready to go but the Sharks are taking a conservative approach with his rehab, formulating a “back up plan” if Moylan can’t go at any point this season

- Report (via @FOXNRL) Josh Dugan’s camp alleges he played on with a leg fracture last season which lead to further complications in his knee (arthritis/cartilage degeneration). Sharks medical advice was it wasn’t a new injury, built up over time. Daily Telegraph reporting he has been cleared of major injury after 2 MRI scans

- In December Andrew Fifita underwent an arthroscopic clean out surgery & stem cell procedure on his knee. 2nd offseason running he has had these procedures, some describe it like an oil change at a yearly service. Only begun full training last week so conditioning a priority

- Last season Shaun Johnson had an aggravation of an old lower back injury that is thought to contribute to his lower limb muscle strains. Surgery was discussed to remove part of a lumbar disc, but Johnson opted against this & received cortisone injections (used to ⬇️ inflammation). There is a thought that impingement of the nerve roots in the lower back can make an athlete more susceptible to hamstring & calf pain in particular. Johnson is now said to be feeling much better with his lower back issues + is much more comfortable goalkicking.

Concerning that he has thrown in "if Moylan can't go at any point this season"

Can a player medically retire for psychological reasons?

Don't think it's been tested but I reckon it could work.

Be hard for the NRL to argue against it and still retain a semblance of empathy.

Doubt it. And i hope its never the case. Or all clubs/players will start using it.

Updated list - not including Wade (apparently OK) or Ronaldo (no info yet) who both limped off last weekend. There has also been some mention of Vasquez having an injury. If anyone has any info on that please post here.

Not ours but Hectic Cheese picked up a facial fracture in the All Stars. Typically 4-6 weeks recovery.
Just adds to an impressive game by him
