Transgender athletes should be allowed to compete in the Olympics and other international events without undergoing sex reassignment surgery, according to new guidelines adopted by the IOC.

I'm a bit of a traditionalist with the Olympics. Switched it on last night and they were showing rugby 7's and tennis. Switched it off straight away.

Watched about 5 minutes of water polo yesterday, just seemed to be the referee blowing his whistle every 5 seconds and a pretty garbage sport in general

The Olympics have lost its significance since it included sports that don't seem all that Olympic to me. Golf, tennis, BMX, what's next? Surfing?

Mate would you believe surfing, skateboarding and rock climbing have all been added to the next Olympics? I'm not joking. I understand they're trying to be more relevant to younger generations, and that's fine. Problem is they end up losing others in the process.
