So we've now got our 2015 training jerseys-

I really like the water idea, I actually made a suggestion a few years back to make the blue in our hoops jersey to be water-like after seeing the Fijian Rugby jersey and how good it looked

I don't go much on the players polo or media polo.

I dare say this is our 2015 home jersey unless anymore sponsors jump on board-

Oddly enough, you can't see the X Blades logo on the sleeves, but it is their jersey because it still says Blades in the 'Official NRL Merchandise' box on the hip.

We can't go two years in the comp without an away jersey, and as long as we have Labour Health and ONE Solutions signed on for 2015, I can't see why we won't definitely have one.

Then again, where's our 2014 Black jersey us members picked?

The water idea reminds me of this http://gazf.info/nrl-nines/#respond Some guy made designs for all of the 9's teams for last year. Our jersey has a beach shack look to it which I think is really cool. His designs are interesting to look at if you have time to kill.

No one wanted to buy the jersey they didn't release. What a shock.

I don't really like those shirts, but they are just training shirts, so it doesn't really matter.

If they put it to the members (10,000+) to vote on an alternate strip and roughly only 100 voted, I'd consider scrapping the idea too.

Note* the 100 votes isn't an official number, just giving suggestions as to why the alternate jersey may have been scrapped.

Of course if it were only that simple. Unfortunately, your logic, like mr sharks twitter man's, is flawed - it assumes all 10,000 were surveyed, but we know full well there are members that don't get emails from the club. If several thousand people never even knew there was a survey, you can't logically claim that there was conclusively no interest.

Another problem (which you may be unaware) was that when I asked him on twitter he said that logically because no information was forthcoming the idea was scrapped. Yet with an inept communications manager, we had no idea: a) how many people were given the opportunity to respond was - the population sample size; (b) what the non-response bias was (though this also relates to point A) - ie who saw the survey, but failed to respond because surveys are time consuming, for example; and (c) what was deemed a successful survey rate. 55% of a population is the majority, but 5,500 jerseys may not be cost effective to produce, so they don't follow through with the fan-voted alternate strip.

At any rate, they never communicated this to me or anyone else, and when I finally got their attention, they patronised me for not already knowing the answers to the above points. **** Scott Maxworthy and the media/comms team at the club, they're a bunch of dicks.

The last sentence of this is all that is needed.

Also what did the club do to promote the survey. All I saw was the thread on here with the link to the article on the website
Did they put it on Twitter or Facebook, they should have been posting something on Twitter and facebook on a daily basis to encourage people to vote

They did and they were hot topics at the time of the vote.

I reckon it is BS about popularity. More likely they were waiting for sponsors which never happened, no success on the field and all the other **** happening meant it was put on the back burner and hoped people would forget about it!!
