Finals shirts are fun when you've been in the bottom 8 for the better part of the decade, but we don't need one this year.

So far I've only seen the Raiders with one this year

Who was the team that released the "I was a member when we made it" shirt? I think maybe the Panthers? It was for making the top 8. Dead set meme.
We need a 'I was a member when Flanno sent those emails' shirt or a 'I was at Kograh when Mary got done DUI'

hahahaha

i still remember the staff throwing the boxes of melbourne premiers shirts in the bin on grand final night

I went to the St George v Melbourne GF, and after the game, and because no one expected Melbourne to win, they were selling Dragons premiers shirts for some stupidly small amount. $1 or 50c or something.

I bought a whole bunch and handed them out to my Dragons loving mates over the years. I swear I was still giving them out in like 2012

Today Newcastle unveiled a new logo, and one of the two main design aspects was the word 'Newcastle' was dropped, they included an FAQ, which contains an interesting little bit of info

Q: Why was the word ‘Newcastle’ removed?

A: We are and will always be the Newcastle Knights. We exist for our passionate supporters. The city will always be home.

Changes to the National Rugby League branding guidelines made ahead of the 2019 season promoted a review of our logo to modernise and simplify the brand in the same way many other clubs have.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs, North Queensland Cowboys, New Zealand Warriors, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Penrith Panthers – have logos that do not feature a geographic location, and are synonymous with their respective areas. The logos of the Rabbitohs and Panthers are represented with a visual device only.

So you would think that our logo has also been reviewed, and seeing we've had the current one since 2004, and a new jersey manufacturer, we might be getting a new logo.

Will we return to being just 'The Sharks' again like after Super League?

Will make relocation of a brand so much easier...

Surprised they didn't force all the clubs to use the simplified logos on the jerseys, at the moment it looks weird with the overly basic competition logo and then some very detailed club logos next to it.

Clubs should be able to brand themselves however they wish.

There needs be boundaries.

It's actually pretty progressive of the NRL to allow teams to brand themselves (logo wise) with the team name instead of the city, like in the major leagues.

AFL have been fighting this for decades.

I don't think it works for every team, Melbourne Storm, Brisbane Broncos will never drop the city name.

I think the ultimate endgame will have teams with an broad area in their names ie: Hunter Knights, Western Panthers, Southern Sharks, etc
