I don't care what petero said he should of been selected in that match, who would go into that match without someone like him he's not a bench player where he played last week he is a starter and I would of had him out there.

Nah, better props coming through. Petero's time has passed, quite evident this season.

He is still a solid prop. I think his presence on the field alone is worth having him out there. I don't think he deserves a test spot though. This loyalty to older players does nothing for the youngsters coming through or the players in the middle of their careers. It seems the old is always replaced with the new and the players that have been around a few years miss the opportunity.

It gave me a great sense of pride to see two sharks players best on each team, Smith was the best on the Kiwi Side, and in my opinion Gals was the best player for Australia. I know I am bias, and there is a strong argument that Bird became the best player in the second half, but thats only because sheens started Gallen on the pine, WTF was up with that? Aus were two players down, and he keeps his most hardworking, damaging player on the bench? The Australian defense looked unbreakable in the first half, and that was because of one man, PAUL GALLEN!

TIM’S TIGHT LEASH ON ROOS

NOT for the first time during his short tenure as Australian coach, Tim Sheens has earned the ire of players for his strict approach. As The Last Word reported in January this year, the champion coach didn’t win too many friends during the victorious Four Nations campaign last year. Then, players complained about a tight rein off the field but now many, including some of the game’s biggest names, are privately seething about his intense focus on a structured game plan which they believe cost them the Four Nations last week. Some players believe the Australian team needs merely direction, not a dictator, given the calibre of talent, likening Sheens’s approach to that of a full-time NRL coach during the regular season.
