Fair call. He struggles big time defending in the centres.

Yep. That's all that matters. #10 gets a quick play the ball. The ball goes #9 --> #13 --> #7 --> #6 --> #1 --> winger or centre and they score. 4 other blokes ran decoys. #1 gets a try assist. 95% of try assists are: - bloke who threw the last pass - bloke who kicked for a try - hooker who...

I'm guessing in a forward direction, directly from the sheds to the field. The club could have a surprise planned though for the return game: "Bay 4, seat 103, look under your chair... it's Matt Moylan!".

Yep. Could have added Fitz also. I agree. I don't think it would take too many losses before the "not a half" or "just looked good in Melbourne's system" comments start to get thrown around.

    Official Blayke Brailey

Yep. People have it in their heads you can only be a good hooker if you are a scooter, conveniently forgetting that the best one ever wasn’t. If Brailey stops missing so many tackles and develops his kicking game he will earn every dollar.

I don't think we want him to touch the ball any less. I for one want him to touch the ball more in catch/pass situations and not have him do so much East/West running or dummy half play within 15m of the side-lines. Under Bomber he played this way in games where Graham did play but Townsend...

    Signings/Re-Signings 2022

I added a poll, and hit up SF to ask if he'll le me create a custom prefix for "Official Whipping Boy".

Who is the whipping boy? Vote can be changed at any time - so if you change you mind come back. Poll only allows 12 options, so I have listed the 12 who I think are most likely.

Lets form a committee. Those are great for getting things done :D I don't have permission to do make this change at the moment, but will get it sorted.

I remember watching 9 of them. Too young to have seen quite a few of the rest, but I remember Monie as a coach and Kneen from a Sharkies-fan mate a bit older who talks about him a lot. I don't remember Howland being "big and fast". I remember him as skinny. I could be thinking of someone else.

    Sharks Feeders 2022 (Jets)

Wes Lolo has sighed with Easts Tigers in the Q Cup and will join the Storm on a train and trial for the pre-season. Beale has also gone back to them. That makes at least 5 former Jets/Sharks on the books for the Tigers. Cherrington, Tevaga and Bessie signed recently too.

Yep. That's the Pygmalion effect in a nutshell. They end up good and nobody stops to think how good others kids may have been given the same opportunities.

Sharks SG Ball (U19) Team 2022

I don't anything about him - but Youtube has this. He's a big unit. Played 18's this year for Mackay Brothers and for St. Patrick's College.

No idea. If my boy switches to Rugby I'll be sure to find out for him just prior to packing his bags and changing the locks ;) RU is heavily school-based up here. Not sure about rep, but selection-based teams and early specialisation are definitely big. From what I can tell from talking to...

I think it is only a matter of time before we see the schools move on from the "play a rep trial" selection method - or at least I hope so. NRL have realised it is not the best way to do things. Now the message just has to filter down to other leagues and the schools system. QRL model moving...

He's 12 mate. I'm not sending him to the junk pile. What I'm saying is that he played poorly at the carnival. Could be that he had a bad coach or his teammates didn't do as they were told - I don't know. There is absolutely zero chance he was picked based on his performance that day alone...

If any Qlder was to make a mistake, they’d be the first to admit it. That is, on the off chance it ever happens.
