So realistically if Dale's salary gets cleared from our cap how much would we have to spend this year?

With all the work the club does now in keeping it's business in house it's disappointing this was allowed to leak. On here, of all places. Unnecessary

So worst case scenario, if Trindall is no longer with us, do we look to the market for a back up halfback now. Looks like we have three 5-8s, and one young halfback thats average at the moment, no real cover for Nicho.

Toby Sexton? Off contract

You do have to start wonder why a bloke isn’t good enough for Titans (vs T Boyd) then Dogs (vs Hutch)

Trindall aint getting sacked over this. He'll cop some contrary conduct bringing game into disrepute BS & rest is for the courts. He's not facing jail time that triggers any no-fault stand down so he'll get a smack for getting in trouble publicly probably a wk or 2, 4 max. Off field behaviour has been good so NRL no need to make an example of a bloke & he's not a player of significant note so I doubt it holds a headline - it'll be dead by tomorrow night.

It is not just " bringing game into disrepute " ( which is not bs ) he has to worry about . He needs to be concerned club doesn't get any phone calls from sponsors not being impressed or from that US benefactor not being impressed.

He doesn't warrant headlines so no worries about that. You think sponsors or benefactors are hinging it all on 1 player being a ********? This will be nothing you're all getting carried away. If it was Nicho people would care & it'd be a thing.

He'll be ok with the club for DUI and driving with expired license, but the club could decide to let him go if it isnt good news with the secondary drug test

Going good in reserve grade, rate him over Boyd and Hutch. Would sign him as a back up for Nicho and do what panthers have been doing to have a next man in ready as a Cleary replacement. (if Trindall were let go)
