He's 22 running 10-15 minutes at full pelt in FG. Obviously sooner than we'd have liked or planned. If things go well he's got another 10yrs+ in the game, of course he'll be batter for longer stints. Forwards hit their straps late because it takes time to build that motor. Fifita used to be a high impact low minutes prop but matured into a dynamic work horse.

I think asking if a young player can improve is the definition of a stupid question. He's got a million dollar footy setup monitoring & driving & everything-ing him all day every day. In 3-4yrs he'll have turned the puppy fat into muscle, be wiser, fitter, more experienced, more stamina, still be a ****en monster though. We could have a NAS. But its just a pup right now.

Sounds plausible and makes sense with his body type

I relise that over time and part of Tuks development will see him take on more minutes and responsibility but I just hope we find a balance with it that we don't lose too much or any of that monster impact and ability he currently brings. Maybe he is our next Tagatese but with better hands?

Now here's a question - have there been any NRL middle forwards that spent most of if not their entire career playing a 15-20 min high impact bench role? Or do they all essentially graduate to more minutes provided they are consistent enough as a player?
George Rose was a failed version of high impact

surprised he had only 11 minutes
toby had 37 on his return tonight - it was his first game back right?

Tapuha just looks like a handful each time he ran
5 runs 52 m; considering short game time

I like this kid just hope we still get to see him down the track when more troops come back

I think there would be a long term plan with Tuks. No need to rush him to stay in 1st grade.

Let him develop like Tom - a few games here and there in top side then go back to Newtown for a few weeks. Don't want to burn young props out.

I actually think Tom would go well dropping back to bench soon (for same reason)

Yep. Bloke hasn't done anything wrong with his first few games. Did his job well today.
