I think the early part of this 2nd stint, stunk. This last few games Very good. Think the slate probably about even at moment. Just needs to quit the Dumb stuff, and keep consistent from hereon so $$$ balance swings in Sharkies favour
This wouldn’t be until 2024. He’s got this year to show what he can do and also next year. If we think he may not be our long term fullback I would look at going to market maybe for edwards. Kennedy isn’t our future fullback imo.
Only reason I say this is I just haven’t seen enough of dykes yet. Very excited though to see him play the next 4 years in the 1 jersey.
Talakai for me is a 500k player. Anything over that just isn’t right IMO. Nikora should not of been offered 550k, that is overs i believe.

I think part of the reason some people don't rate him is because he isn't always following the ball carrier hoping for an offload.
Perhaps they forget that he functions as an extra centre on both sides of the field. When the ball goes out the line it's expected that he will be part of the chain.
No one asks why our centres and second rowers aren't always sniffing around behind the ball.

Maybe a bit of a push to be labelled “easily our best” but he is one of our top performers over the last few seasons so I’m just wondering why people are targeting him as “not required”?
I appreciate that everyone can have an opinion but I’m just curious as to their reasons (they may be valid, so pls share).

disagree - Kennedy benefits the most off the halves and linking off them to ball play, he’s elite at that. He isn’t an all round fullback to be irreplaceable
his passing game and catching game is top level - his defence, support play and running game needs work, he looks good in our set-up but if a game is on the line we never see it being Will Kennedy getting us the W… He needs to be that type of player regardless of the set-up around him where he can just make it happen on his own before he’s called our best player.
Kennedy has holes in his game we need plugged.. I’m sure they are working on them

Sure he has room to improve but who in our team has grown as much as this bloke in the last 2 years. Everytime he has the ball in his hand you get excited and defensively I don't think he is as bad as everyone makes out. Look when he was out earlier in the year our attack suffered.

It is because he isn't bad defensively. He is good at picking up balls of the ground. Safe under the high ball. Organised defence well and is usually in the right position. He may not make miracle tackles regularly, but he shouldn't need too either.
