Yeah he had it iced when he was on the bench, looked pretty uncomfortable. If a weeks rest is the answer or going to help hopefully they can give it to him before finals.

Thankfully we have 7 day turn arounds all the way to the last round which is an 8 day turn around. So maybe rest during the week is also on the cards.
Yeah those turn arounds are great but the Sunday game in round 25 is a worry - don’t be surprised if the NRL gives us a 5 day turn around into a semi final ..

It really annoys me we seem to get this regularly. You know we will end up with a Friday night game and the Broncos for the first time all year (unless we are playing them) will end up with a Sunday game so they get a rest before the finals.

Last year Friday night was 1 v 4... which would give the Panthers a 6 day turnaround (from NQ) v Storm/Eels an 8 day turnaround. That makes more sense than Sharks with a 5 day turnaround, but of course there's plenty to play out with the top 4.

No team will get a 5 day turnaround heading into the finals.

He has had one good game all year. What do you see in hin?

So you only watched the Sharks game against Manly all season?

As you missed all the other Sharks games I am happy to let you know he has been one of our best and most consistent players all year and wasn't picked for Origin solely on the back of that game against Manly

The main challenge has been adapting to him getting marked and tackled by 4 defenders on every run (post Manly game) and finding ways to take advantage of that and/or build plays around it. I think this is mostly on the coaching staff not Sifa who has still worked his backside off carting the ball up game after game and pushed himself for 80 mins every week.

I am sure the coaches relise how much defense is put on Sifa now and maybe they have tried things to combat it but they don't appear to have found the answer yet but our play style and structures across the spine and team seems to vary week to week as well along with the gameplan so can be hard to get a consistent read on it.

Would be handy if Sifa had more of an offload but he doesn't have the height of a Woods or overall size and guile of Fifita (both noted offloaders in traffic) and Sifa isn't a hit & spin or back into the defensive line ass first kinda guy

Then again our other centre likes to flick pass offload the ball into the grand stand so maybe Sifa is happy to keep it simple and cut down on potential errors

Sifa's defense isn't perfect but you see him making big efforts running to get where he needs to and he still puts on the occasional hit - improvement over last season in D (more fitness too) to go along with his monumental up tick in attack

Only tries matter Gards
Talakai not scoring much means he's **** and Trindall has scored more recently than Moylan so he is better

Makes sense... Xerri's scored loads recently and people are thinking he'd be great

Didn't say he wasn't trying and its a pity that opponents tackle him, that's unfair, but reality. He might be the best 4 we have at the moment but that doesnt say much.

I know stats aren’t everything but they give an indication.

He’s second in the nrl for post contact metres, ahead of Haas
5th for total run metres
6th for tackle breaks
Top 30 for try assists
8th for line break assists

Couldn’t see him in any of the top 50 for negative stats such as errors, missed tackles either.

He’s had some quieter games lately but I think he’s performing his role well
