Negative recency bias is part of the furniture here.

So far this year he’s got;

25mins per game
106 total tackles with 3 missed tackles
48 runs for 406m - 8.45m a carry
2 errors

He’s clearly playing a role and he’s doing it brilliantly.
Here here.

Thanks Wilson - its great to see factual data,

Very impressive from the big Fella.

Thought it was a poor effort from the big guy tonight. Just not the conditions for him.

yea he looked slow and lethargic against Manly, has he put on weight? There were some signs he was starting to struggle a tad last week against Storm

after that try was scored in his vicinity he momentarily perked up and lifted his energy for a few carries before slowing back down again

still 1 poorish game doesn't undo the good work he has been doing this season although he prob should be the first forward who drops out as players come back

Noticed heavy strapping high on his quad, he also played less minutes. Might be carrying a cork or some thing. Either way I'd rest him next week and play Royce.

hopefully it was more a case of he was hindered by that niggle than he is regressing or put too much into those opening games. I'm happy to give him a rest if he needs it. It's a long season and we have depth

Heard the ref calling out "Andrew, Andrew!" a fair bit around the play the ball. Still a marked man.

dunno if there was a lag in the mic ref coming through the telecast but I swear there was a tackle where Fifs arm hairs had barely begun to come in contact with the ball carrier and I am hearing "release Andrew, release!" 😄

I don't think his discipline has been much of an issue this season though . Gal really tidied his game up in the closing seasons of his career, maybe Fifs is too

Gards you're slower then homer Simpson, does it take you a week to collect your thoughts about a game haha

I prefer the term 'considered' opposed to slow

though I have too many thoughts but I tend to collect most of them by end of the game

too many quotes, too many posts, too many replys

not enough time, more posts to be done by kickoff but don't feel like kicking off those posts so you will have to excuse future week long posts lags

Plus having a head cold and a bad shoulder has put a damper on things too

this place is a sickness for me and I'm not sure I want the cure

I should have posted this reply in June

Bad shoulder? No wonder your quoting game has suffered.

Mouse hand side too

That's like taking a sledge hammer to Adam Reynolds right foot!

The absolute courage your showing by soldering on is nothing short of the most inspirational thing I’ve ever seen. If I need to give my two daughters a rev up speech about life and its challenges, im going to just show them this and they’ll be ready for anything.

Thank you Gards for your pure fortitude.

What you do to your shoulder? I popped mine out getting out of the shower last week. Butt naked trying my hardest to bend over to put my shrunken sharks shorts on in case I needed to go to a hospital. No getting a shirt on, so would have been rocking up to hospital with my ass crack and lush man-fro on full display. Thankfully popped it in so was able to avoid the embarrassment

Take it easy for a while, I’m speaking from experience, when I was younger, thinking I was invincible, I popped my shoulder, within a day or two, it felt fine again.
So it rolls around to next week, I played again, probably halfway thru the first half, got knocked with the slightest resistance & out it popped again.

A long story, I’ll try to shorten, I kept popping it after that, it got looser & looser & I finally had to get it operated on to fix.

Not sure how old you are Tatus but think of the big picture, unlike what I did.

I’m 32. Haven’t played footy since my first year of grade because of it. Popped out more times than I can remember, it’s about as loose as it gets 😂
From sleeping in bed, yawning, sneezing, putting a six pack in the car. Never really phased me, but have noticed a lot of posture and back issues from years of compensating for it so been thinking more long term about having such a **** shoulder

It's feedback and support like this that make it all worth while . I'm not a flashy poster, I just go to work and grind it out

LOL the shower, a million to one doc a million to one!

Subdeltoid Bursitis (rotator cuff injury) right shoulder/arm. Went to doc and got ultrasound, fortunately they didn't find any muscle tears or ligament damage just inflammation (though that in itself makes it hard to get the best view of things on the scan) so rest and physio for a few weeks and it should come good and might have to be a bit more aware and careful in future to avoid a re-occurrence but hopefully it's just a once off thing.

No idea how I did it, likely overdid it at work as been busy shifting heavy stuff in the warehouse lately. Physio said its very common, treats this injury every day

It can be quite painful and restrictive (nothing like when I broke my collar bone though), sleeping is annoying, learning to try sleep on my back and find ways to support my arm

hard to get dressed and wipe my ass. learning to use the other hand . if my left shoulder goes out I'll have to get one of those bidet toilets with the water jet thingy

I do not play Rugby but I swim -around 5-5.5k a day. We do not get impact on our shoulders but that is a lot of rotation and pressure put on the shoulders.

Anyway, about two weeks ago I slipped in the rain and fell on my left elbow. Nothing happened other than cuts and bruises but the whole left shoulder and the arm muscles tensed up and it hurt like hell for about two weeks. I sleep on my side so that was not fun as you wake up more in pain than rested.

It just got better maybe a day or two ago - normal as in less pain (Had the nationals last week which was an experience with that shoulder. Expecting and pushing the shoulder to perform while it is hurting is not a fun thing).

It was hard to sleep as @Gards said. I had physio, remedial massages, used heat pack a lot and also used a cream called Fisiocrem.

In case it helps anyone, I especially recommend the cream (get it from Chemist Warehouse as it is much cheaper there). I am not sure if it helps with the shoulder popping up but at least for minor injuriries/sports it works great.

As a physiotherapist im not a big believer in topical creams and gels.
A few of my patients have enquired about fisiocream and i just tell them that if they are going to out anything on just use good old fashioned deep heat.
Pharmaceutical companies are making ridiculous $$ out of things like 'painaway' or 'fisiocream' - but its the actual act of rubbing the creams in which provides the benefits, as not only does it generate heat through friction but also facilitates the release of oxytocin (the love/cuddle) hormone which helps provide feelings of relief/comfort.
