Is anyone hanging him for this? I feel like people are just expressing their disappointment, which is completely reasonable. It's a big **** up, but no ones calling for him to be sacked or to miss the season. He'll cop his medicine in court and we'll hopefully move on to forget it ever happened...
Little mistake? He was 2.5x the legal limit man. It's a big ****ing mistake. There's a reason you aren't allowed to drive that cooked, and many have lost their lives or take the life of others learning that lesson.
That said, thank **** nothing worse happened. It will be a huge learning...
Worth a reminder of how much footy these young guys missed over the covid period too. Development seems to be much later for a lot of that crop in the 20-24 age bracket.
Crazy that he aged a whole year in that article.
Court on 17 May is round 11, so doubt we'll have any closure on what will be happening until then. What a kick in the dick for a year that was shaping up nicely.
Yeah I was thinking the same, but I think this is a bit different. Even Poctor/Brom got a 4 week ban just for using/buying it. Driving is going to be worse.
Not trying to change your mind. Just providing context for why people might disagree. Institute of health states 47% of people over 14 in the country have taken an illicit drug at some point in their life.
You're completely entitled to your opinion, as is sharkstragic. I'm stating that for a large percentage of the population these days it's a non-issue, so to call his perspective out as flat out wrong is a bit misguided.
Yeah, he can. Might be news to you, but drugs aren't taboo like they used to be. You'll be harder pushed finding someone under 30 who hasn't tried something rather than has.
However, there is no excuse for driving under the influence.
