I miss the old Chad. Poem time was the favourite part of my week

The poems are gone mate. It was apparent that the need for such cultural awareness was not required on this forum. The members spoke loudly of their dissatisfaction and the directive that I cease and desist from such interaction was difficult to ignore.

"Fergos a wanker" clap clap, clap clap clap

This - I think about 3 years ago in Canberra, the year he bailed on us anyway - the away bay was on Raiders tryline and Flake was on the wing on our side right in front of us...

We absolutely gave it to him for the entire first half - was epic

I'll tell you which "war cry" works at Shark Park. And it is totally unforced, it just happens naturally and usually when we're either on top or we need to get on top.

Sharkies! (Clap, clap, clap)
Sharkies! (Clap, clap, clap)
Sharkies! (Clap, clap, clap)

There's nothing more stirring than hearing the whole ground doing this - we don't do enough of it in my opinion but it sounds great when we do.

If you're looking for an "anthem" (and I use that word loosely) then there is no better one than this.
If you want to stir up the crowd get this chant going.

There's nothing more Sharks than that.

Been away for a while - strikes me the biggest sticking point is the line "And from all around The Shire we come."

Would people be equally offended if it said "And from all around The World we come" or is it the concept of a chant or anthem that is the stumbling point?

I've heard YNWA at Anfield and even though I'm not a Liverpool FC supporter I got a bit glassy-eyed hearing it - can't help be impressed with that sort of thing.

I dunno, give it a go and see if it takes off, sing it if you want to - don't if you don't.

Ain't freedom of choice grand?

YNWA wasn't 'forced' on Liverpool fans, they adopted it themselves as far as I know.

I thought a bit more about it last night and actually thought it would probably be more acceptable if the lyrics were changed to what you mentioned.

As someone who puts in the effort to travel from outside of the Shire and also travels out of state to the away games it felt like a slap in the face to be honest
