Just get a semi attractive woman to be a streaker pre game. Guaranteed to be a few extra 'members' standing to attention. Crowd numbers will rise.

I have to ask - what's wrong with the chants, songs and cheering, accompanied by trumpet, from the cage?

Peter Allan classic with a twist " still call Cronulla home" get the choir out..
I personally dislike all pre game attemps at hype always lame, I even hate playerswarming up on the field before a game... Like going to watch a great rock concert and walking in while they are doing a round check.... Nah keep it all out of sight then BAM main act or in our case 1st grade kickoff.

The anthem you play to pump people up pre-game is "Up Up Cronulla". Its played after we win the week before.

No one goes to the footy because they do a ripping pre-game sing-a-long. Pre-game atmosphere should be anticipation for a game of footy.

Does this mean that *puts hand above head like a fin* bull**** has been scrapped? Learn from that mistake.

As much as we can't stand Gayfl on this forum, Port Adelaide in 2012 were the absolute laughing stock, a complete and utter joke. Their culture was dead and buried, non existent. Supporters then found themselves an anthem in "never tear us apart" by INXS, then it was amazing to watch the club's direction change over the next two seasons.

The fact Port fans carry scarves with INXS lyrics on them is because they're Kochies favourite band.

They are a laughing stock.

They started to play an extremely attractive style of footy that was great to watch and had some success with it. The song wouldn't have done anything if they were losing.

Completely agree.

Do Manly sing the Eagle Rock before every game?

The best way to create the best atmosphere at shark park is to get more people there. When there is a big crowd there the atmosphere is always great

Maybe the club should worry more about getting a good crowd there and less about creating an atmosphere via songs/anthems that will never happen.

It's actually embarrassing when you're near then away supporters and that 'who are you' **** came on.

And **** those drums off. It's a football game not a concert.

Might be just me but I like the nervousness in the air before a game. When you get there you talk to your mates sink a few beers, then right before kick off everyone goes silent and just takes in the vibe around the ground. Then again, that's more directed to the pure footy fans. I guess families and casual supporters want a bit of amatuer hour action happening pre-game otherwise they get bored.

I hate the on field warm ups , take them out the back somewhere , first glimpse of the players should be as they are introduced and run on the field , that builds excitement.

Don't want no sing songs , it's F'n footy FFS , but I don't mind a few hard rock tunes like Kick Start my Heart etc before.

I used to love the build up in tension by watching the thirds and reserves run around before 1sts .
