Only thing is if we did want Walker I think our greatest opponent in getting him here is going to be Manly not the Titans.

Manly would have to be close to the cap. I know they lost Foran but DCE is obviously on massive coin now and they've signed Myles and Tapau plus a few other guys.

I really would be surprised if Souths let him go though. Who else do they have in the centres apart from Walker and Auva'a? Please don't say Goodwin.

Yeah seems ridiculous we are going to bend over backwards for a bloke who has only played 1 year of first grade footy

I'll be dirty if we lose val because of bird. I'm really starting to dislike bird. Something about the way he talks haha

Yep if it came down to val or jack, val.

Barba and val > bird
Maloney > bird

Lewis retiring - permanent spot for bird he could also play rep footy in
Gallen retiring - permanent spot he could play rep in

If jacks barking orders......put him in his place. No i in team. We bow to demands now, we have another gal for another decade and a half

Yep it's pretty ordinary. Not even a full season in the top grade and he's apparently making demands. Worse than that is I bet Flanno gives him what he wants.

At the moment it's all speculation. But if it's true another major problem it causes is what message does it send to the rest of the squad when a 21 year old with 20 odd games under his belt can dictate where he plays.

If it's true he is dictating where he plays he needs to be told where he is playing and if he doesn't like it then he can sit the year out with the blue bags.

We need genuine pace in our team, and have done for at least 5 years. We need a fast centre, but i still am hoping Barba comes good, tough decision. If it has to be to fit em both in,perhaps the faster man wins for us, which aint a bad basis to decide..

I don't believe the bird rumours. Flanno can promise to give him first crack at 1, and if it works and we're winning games, no one, not even Val on the wing will be complaining.

If it fails, and Bird gets shifted to centre or whatever, which club is then going to sign him and promise to play him in the position he just stuffed up in? If you follow me.

Best thing that can happen is Bird play fullback in trials and have complete nightmare. Put him at 13. I'd like to see Val have another year on the wing. He was superb last year so let him do that again. Barba at 1 and if he gets busted then Val can slip in. Anyway that's just my rambling thoughts

Yeah I agree with the idea of giving him a run at fullback. I don't think he's really suited to the position but there's only one way for him and everyone else to find out for sure.

Hope a nightmare game under the high ball doesn't mentally destroy him like it did Stewart Mills though haha.

I don't won't him to go ordinary @ fullback but I am hoping he goes or gets a go @ centre or @ lock in the trials & kills it & make him think, 'hey I go alright in these spots, maybe I might be better off there'

We had an average fullback all of this year. What makes anyone think Flanno will move Bird from FB if he's average?

I'm amazed at all this talk about Bird. I do not profess to know more than anyone else but I'm not going to panic or speculate until the full story comes out. It seems some of us already have him shipped off to Manly or the Dragons which is very hard to comprehend.
