He was rubbish today. Do you pick him next week?

I'd be spewing if I was Prior knowing that you can play your arse off, and get dropped for a bloke who turns the ball over 50% of the time when he touches it.

haha yeah lets rest him.

Had two great offloads that got us needed metres. Not even a discussion on if he plays next week.

There is no discussion if Fifita plays next week. Today wasn't his best game, but he is a game breaker. You just have to have a player like that on the field come finals time .

If anyone gets a rest I think at this stage it has to be Barba. We've enough players out there that can score points. For mine , Prior is more valuable than Barba right now.

As soon as he came on he turned the game.

Was the difference.
Definitely not. We had their measure long before Fifita came on.

He was a mixture of poor discipline and loose carries. Drop the garbage from his game and he could win us a premiership. Today was less than impressive though. He must play and will play through the finals though.

I thought he was decent today, for a first run in 6 weeks it wasn't too bad a performance.

The play the ball call against him was a joke, in my book thats a penalty to us every day of the week.

While I respect your opinion I disagree.
Fifita doesn't play we lose.

I felt that, even though we were in front, until Fifita came on we weren't really dominating.

May have been the perfect storm but once he came on we were definitely dominating. He was palming people off and bulldozing over the top of them.

When you cop a bad penalty you're benefited in other ways by the refs too, I reckon they alter the 50/50's to even up the game at times ... or am I just a conspiracy theorist?

I'm not having a chop at you mate. Fifita cuts the crap from his game and we are contenders.

I find him very frustrating.

No dramas. Just my observation.

Yep. Offloads didn't really begin until he got on.

His play the ball pisses me off but cannot deny his involvement.
Prior has been good this year and realistically he would have his spot.

Prior would not have given the team the impact and I don't think we would have won.

Minus his dumb penalties he had a very solid game IMO. Rather him in the team than out of it. Big game player who will need to be on song next week if we are to beat the cows at home.

Well did he even give away a penalty? I remember he should have got one with Carter lying in the ruck for no reason but he decided he was a hollywood actor and it was given an error against him from the ref. Because reasons. Dropped the ball putting the ball down for a try that he was making from nothing, and had the ball raked in a 2 man tackle by Grevsmuhl. I'm probably missing some more.

But that was quite an effort from a bloke who had been having back spasms. He was monstering them. Rusty but that's to be expected with 6 weeks off. Also had the leg injury concern. Despite all that crap it was just temperament that was the worry, that's how much of a beast of a player he is.

The whole team, not just Fifita look for the penalty to much . Sure there are times where a bit of drama is enough to get the whistle but alot of the times we would be better off focusing on quick play the balls and the penalties will come.

True, I've noticed this of late, Fifita is as bad as anyone going around, thing is, now the refs know he tries to milk it & are almost digging the heels in not to give him one even though at times one might be warranted, I hope our coaching staff are smart enough to point this out to him & the team.

I mentioned this on twitter, that 99% of all other players, simply get up and move to the side of the player or step over them and play the ball. He deserved to get pinged for his stupidity. Yes the rule states that the player must roll away and out of the play the ball area, but there is a lot of leeway in this regard as they allow the man playing the ball to move around a bit to play the ball. Which they used to penalise.

He needs to just get up and get the ball played and not worry about penalties.

Really needs to cut the niggle. He was very lucky not to get penalised when he played the ball the grabbed the markers foot on the way up and knocked him over. There is no need for it.

Yeah saw that too HB, was stupid. Although rarely is that sort of stuff a penalty.
