Few comments saying Thurston was off I tend to disagree.

He had a couple of errors and a poor kick, but I think our up and in his face Defense shut him down.

The Cowboys had some good ball early in the second half, was helped with back to back penalties.
But our D dropped off for that 20 min period where Thurston looked dangerous.

We slowly got back to what worked in the first 40 and pressure the hell out of him to make early decisions.

Was it just me or did the crowd seem a lot more vocal tonight. Had the best atmosphere we've had at home in a long time imo

bloody good game and at times the atmosphere was electric... ground announcer was over the top..

The crowd looked really good on the telecast. Its a shame this is backed up by a monday game cos that will drop the crowd big time.
Dunno how we got nearly 14k to a game with our furthest away opponent but got 12 to a game vs saints

crowd wise it sucks but football wise having the 9 day turn around is going to be good for the team given our recent run of away games. Had a pretty tough run of games to get through recently so the extra rest will be beneficial to keeping our team fresh leading into the run home. Hope flanno and the coaching staff use it wisely

yep id give them a few days off early in the week to drink coffee or wee or whatever, then train hard in the back end.
Looking forward to the game next week, i think we could take it out.
As you said to me the other week, we did so well through that **** run of 6 away games-1 home game. Now thats finished we have 3 homes games and we are already 1 for 1 in that. I think we can win our next 2 then run take the foot off the throttle for 2 weeks

Whoever the guy is that we got from the Dragons to help with recovery and management is doing wonders for our team. I think Snowman mentioned this a week or so ago, but it's definitely true. Round 22 and the only significant injury we've had to deal with were Lewis and Tupou so far.

Touch wood our good health continues!

the injuries we have suffered can't be helped. The glowing concern last year were the amount of soft tissue injuries. Far to many to be bad lack

True, but Nu was injured berfore the season proper started, and if he was fit I wonder where he'd be playing in the current line up. Half? We have Bird there doing a job. Hooker? Ennis is the form hooker of the comp imo. Not sure if having Brown back would be a good thing in terms of our line up :S

Gallen yeah fair point I forgot about him - but there was a time when we used to win more without him too!

It's getting harder and harder to manage these weekly heart attacks. Finals will be the end of me.

I thought this game was a prime example of the whole "drag the opposition down to our level" back-handed compliment being a relatively insulting observation of our well-earned victories. The way it's been parroted about, it's as if no team has never put in any effort against us when we've won.

Agree, it looked like a soft crowd initially but filled out a bit after the whistle for first half. Crowd made some big roars when we got points. Was the most positive feeling at half and full time in terms of overall vibe I have experienced in along time at Remondis

It was a fantastic win on the back of some of our best footy. Our energy and line speed in defense throughout the entire game and overall focus was massive highlights. Even looking at our warm up we looked switched on for this game. To do it without Lewis and Fifita's made it even more special

welcome back mate. Agree with what you said. I honestly thought we pressured Thurston into some of the mistakes he made last night.

I don't get this grind garbage idiots like gould and tallis keep going on with. Backs are seeing good clean ball regularly and we're scoring some ripper tries.

It's not 2013 anymore you cockheads
