I wonder if our so-very-public recent affiliation with DCE will come back to bite us in terms of negotiating contracts with other halves. I wonder if DCE has lifted the asking price of all the off-contract halves? I can just see it now: player managers telling us 'but you were going to offer DCE over 1million a season, so surely you can afford my client's request of X'?

I don't see it. Depends on what the market is offering.

I've always said I prefer Sezer but I don't really mind which one of the three we (hopefully) get now. We just need one of them.

I'm a fan of Sandow but agree, not to partner Barba. If we didn't have Barba I'd be very keen to sign him.

barba is not a natural no.6 he best position is fullback. so holmes to wing, maloney 6, sandow 7.

There has been a bit of talk about DCE moving to the titans immediately or sometime this year, would be happy if he went there and we took Sezer off their hands for this year. Any chance?

Not really. Is matt prior worth more cos fifita is on 650?

We were gunna spend so much, doesnt mean the next guy is worth more. Id be happy to spend an extra 100 to secure hodko or maloney than get stuck with robbo

If DCE goes now my bet would be Sezer is out of our reach, he'd go to manly as part of a swap.

Hasn't really been talk. A reporter asked Henry if he would be interested in it and he said words to the effect of "well we'd have to look at our salary cap blah blah blah." That's been the extent of it.

never watched him in the juniors?

He even played a five eight role off the bench for the dogs in NRL his first year.

Yep. Hes played more 5/8 than anywhere. He just won a dally m at fb. No different to milford

I know fans can be a fickle lot but I can't believe people are writing him off after one game. It's going to take months for him to hit his straps, maybe longer when you consider who his halfback is.

to be fair im quite happy with the progression of him with ball in hand, I know a lot of that comes back to him being a ball playing fullback but there are positive signs there, just needs to work on his kicking and support play

Agree. His support play has always been there so that will come back naturally you would think. Kicking, yeah needs a bit of work.
