Looks like we will have a much better side this year and the prospect of seeing our Sharks winning more games than we lose is having us all brimming with confidence.

But do we have what it takes yet to win that elusive premiership?

What aspects of our game do you think we will still struggle with in 2015?

Honestly - No I don't think so... and im ok with that cos where we have been is much worse than what 2015 holds.

We are on the way back up the bell curve and its the 3 or 4 years you get as a window that we have to grab this time. What we need from 2015 is a solid season where we play finals footy again and show we are an improving side similar to what Penrith did last year would be good. This will allow some other players to get on board and in 2016 it will be on like donkey kong...

Couldnt agree more. I dont think we will win it this year. At least not on paper. But injuries/suspension and form can be cruel, who knows. We won't win it without luck.

But coming from 16th, if we could be a top 4 side that would be pretty friggen good. Imagine coming from a spoon to win it all! holy crap that would be epic.

2016 (with the right recruitment) holds our best shot in almost forever of winning a premiership.

Snag DCE, maybe get some action in the props. Anything could happen then.

I have a feeling that Gordon might stay on another 2 year deal, but I would hope that it would be for less money and to be a winger

We're closer than some, further than others. Luck is a massive factor in winning a comp like NRL though.

The recruitment of a good #7 for '16-onwards though swings a bit more luck in our favour and like the blokes above, I'd think our window opens a bit wider next year.

This year though while I can (think I can) easily identify some who won't go near it, its harder to predict the pointy end of the ladder.

Yes we are. If we don't believe so we should drop out and give our spot to Perth. We need belief in ourselves, always.

Anything is possible. With some luck going our way for a change and injuries to other teams:)hoping), we are definitely a chance. Otherwise why bother?

I'm not writing off top 4 at this stage and if your top 4 anything could happen and would be disappointed if we are not top 6 at the least.

I do agree however that with a stronger no. 7 our chances increase 10 fold, so 2016 Cld look even better.

I'm daring to dream for 2015!

No. We'll have a good year, maybe press for a spot in the finals, but winning the comp this year? A bit beyond us, for this year at least, all depends on who our halfback will be in 2016, and how we replace the older guys we will probably lose. If we do those two things well, we should expect to give it a good shake in 2016.

Apparently combined really well with Barba.l think we have bought smartly this year and the last few, better than the majority of clubs. We will take a giant leap this year. I think having Price on board will help our attacking options.

The gods of rugby league will be on our side this year we will go all the way and win the GF 17-16 with a field goal by Jeff Robson in golden point time.

He will the become a club legend for winning us our first premiership and all his haters will be lining up to kiss his ass lol

I think that last year our biggest weak spot was poor kicking and line speed with aggression. So many time we kicked dead and with the seven tackle rule sides just rolled right down the other end . We need to limit this at all costs it kills the pressure we were building and more often then not swings momentum.
If we focus on the basics as a team with every player doing there part, run hard tackle hard we have enough youth with talent to score points.

Another thing we have a few new players that opposition coaches and teams do not yet know how to defend, " the surprising X factors" Holmes Bird Gagan.
After a few seasons people work out to a degree how to contain these guys.

I am confident we can and will give it a red hot go!

No, we barely have a kicking game at all.

We have a very strong side and we will trouble a lot of teams this year but we don't have the halfback we need to win it.

The important thing is we have a good season and sign a proper halfback for 2016.

Agree. I will wait and see how Barba goes, but yes our 7 is due to be traded in. I can handle a season of Robbo knowing that the club is taking measures to get the possible 7 we can to the team next year.

If we have a good showing this year, no BS off the field. Crowds, support, memberships, corporate support will all rise and the team will well and truly be void of the ASADA era

I'm expecting a 4-8 finish, but like cap said with a bit of luck we could make the top 4
If we don't make the 8 that will be a fail in my books

Yep, look at the Panthers. They didnt play brilliantly all year, they just got the job done. **** even the Sharks beat them twice.
