So none of you think that what Flanagan did was a bad look for the club? And that maybe Wilson is correct in that there should have been a media plan in place for Flanagan to field and deal with the questions upon the players return.
Or that Flanagan STILL doesn't appear to take responsibility or apologise for the ASADA mess.

She's a COAT no doubt, but she's also 100% correct in SOME of the things in this article.

The fact that there was apparently no media plan in place for Flanagan or prep-prepared response / answers for those type of questions which were bound to be asked, is just amateur hour for me. Where was Rob Willis, what was he doing? Isn't he the media manager?
Shows that the club still has a long way to go.

Whatever we say will be twisted for a headline. Like Gorman says bring down the curtain on the whole saga and look ahead to the future. If the media want to keep rehashing the same ****, let them. But give them nothing new to use against us.

'Give them nothing new to use against us'

Exaclty right. Did Shane Flanagan do that on Monday? Did he act like the head coach of a professional sporting organisation? Did those in the front office prepare him for the media?
I think you know the answers.

1. flanno twice told the reporter he was there to talk about 2015
2. The reporters question was completely inappropriate

Flanno did less damage by walking away then if he unleashed on that germ.

As he said the next day, he has given statements to asada and the nrl he does not have to publicly talk about asada at all

Lot of wishful thinking there but not much reality.

What was inappropriate about it? The journal can ask what he likes. Whether he gets an answer is another thing but it was an appropriate question. Still a lot of unanswered questions. Still of lot unaccountability. And Flannagan has acted like a spoilt child through out the whole saga. Theres a reason why he didn't get re-instated straight away and a lot of it was to do with his attitude.

Both Flanagan and the club were very naive (and obviously unprepared) if they thought there wasn't an extremely good chance that these sort of questions were not going to be asked.
If they didn't feel confident that only 2015 was going to be talked about then don't do the interview.
The guy is an out and out dunce.

All I can say is that there is no wonder that the tabloid press is losing money fast.

Perhaps we should be asking about the professionalism of the 'journalist' asking the loaded questions.

Were they properly advised? Were they prepared? Are they out and out dunces? Should News Ltd be forced to relocate?

Once senility finally renders Murdoch incapable of giving orders most of these newspapers will be gone - and this sort of journalism is a symptom of the panic within the industry.

The question 'are you sorry for allowing......' Strongly worded to incorporate an element of guilt when a response of yes is given.

We'll always remain divided on this topic. Unlike post game pressers which you must attend, this press conference wasnt compulsary and flanno could walk away whenever he wanted

Theres alot of unanswered questions because the whole investigation was botched. it was ASADAS job to investigate and answer those questions. They've done that and dished out the appropriate punishments on the evidence they found. Case closed.

It's not up too Flanno to give the media the answers. And quite frankly if some dodgy **** did go on and the investigation failed to uncover that, I want Flanno taking that info to the grave, not giving a **** about morals or ethics or what the media/forum posters expect from him.

As I've said before if the same scrutiny was given to all clubs then fine, but when anything involving big clubs gets swept under the carpet then media outlets like the dt can just do one.

She would have just wrote some hate filled piece of drivel if flanagan had stood there and answered the questions. When these ****wits have got an agenda there's no pleasing them.

In an alternative reality I could see Wilson writing: "Cronulla Sharks - the boring do-gooders who will never win a premiership'.

I don't get why people think flanno should answer questions about the past, show me where you have posted that rob lui should have been questioned about his assault of his misses

Players Association should have an unofficial grading scale. Award the journos 5 points to start with.

They lose a point for each case of unjustified, unfair treatment of players and officials.

Just like a drivers licence, once they've lost their points they can't drive. Players advised not to give them interviews or information.

They get back one point per year.

Don't care what these imbeciles write any more. I'm over it and so are 98% of league fans.

Now we all know how Gillard felt. Disgraceful newspaper.
