Yeah Ennis was good but the doggies ruck penalties in that game gave us a glimpse of what's to come in the finals from all the big sides IMO. Wrestling and deliberate penalties to stop momentum.

I think it's time for a 3 strikes policy. If a team gets 3 penalties in a set for slowing down the play then the 3rd should be 5 in the bin. And they should put a kind of "shot clock" on releasing the tackled player even if it means the tacklers are forced to roll away in order to clear it, forcing other defenders to go to marker. On top of this they need to discourage gang tackles and reward one on ones somehow. Crowds don't turn up to watch stacks on.

If they don't sort it soon league will eventually become a fringe sport, with afl and the A league dominating the country.

Nrl should bring in a 5 minute binning rule where if you get these hold down penalties in the 20 or 10 metre zone, 3rd one you sit down.

Some teams are great wrestlers like melb manly they seem to get themselves knotted up in the tackle and slow things down untangling themselves were as when fifs tries he just lays on top flapping around and looks so obvious that the refs have to blow the penalty, it's a art that I hate but sadly part of the modern game

Just had a text from a Bulldogs mate telling me we can keep Lichaa. He wants Ennis to stay.

I told him he was too late!

I'm looking forward to having Ennis here, but I think I'm one of the few who would rather keep Lichaa.

I've come to appreciate the art that is Michael Ennis's grubbyness. He must have a strike rate to rival Bradman too he never seems to not be pissing someone off.

I remember he riled Hindmarsh up to the point I think he got 10 in the bin.

I'd love to know some of the crap he says.

He said to Hindmarsh "as if you'd name your kids after dogs"

I don't mind Hindmarsh kids names but I am being serious, they to me are names you would more call dogs, again, I am not trying to be funny or disrespectful.

Yep, the team defending really don't lose too much by giving away a penalty on the first tackle when their line is under attack.

The refs then end up under pressure because of a lopsided penalty count and are less likely to blow a penalty against the offending team as the game goes on.

Ennis can't talk just had his 4th child a girl and her middle name is swan.

Umm yeah he can Swan isn't that bad a middle name, I know a few people with that surname. Archie, Buster and Rowdie no offence do sound like Dogs names. Each to their own I suppose
