i dont think it is a 3-2-1 basis, other wise no way gordon gets player of the year for us last year when TC was runner up dally m player of the year
i think it's the coaches chance to make another incorrect decision

I've always through there was the player of the year (selected by the coach) and the players player (selected by the team).
