I think your bang on the money mate. I rarely praise flanno because I think he is a shyte coach in terms of attacking and defensive structure but he mostly got the best out of this squad over the last 2 years. After watching the heartless pathetic performances this season I grudgingly accept that flanagan actually gets them playing with intensity and a never say die attitude which goes a long way in the game. On paper our squad is much better than this.

If only we were playing on paper

Damn it

Let me start by saying, I'm not a Ayshford fan (important disclaimer) but FMD.

Sharpie is the reason we lost this game.

1. Replacing a player up against his old club (motivation) and replacing him with an underdone player who has to defend next to a weak defender also returning from injury.
Both right edge defenders (coincidental this is where the tigs did most of their attacking).
Ayshford would have lifted for today's game!
2. Drops Arona (one of our best this year) and keeps Vave. Even D Fifita would have been better option.
I really don't think he has what it takes! Sharpie needs to step aside!

IF that's the case (and that's a big IF), then Sharpies got no balls and the club is dumber than dumb.

1. If the NRL gets wind of it and can prove it, we are gone and Flanno is gone!
2. We have no coin to pay more f***en fines! and
3. The pizza dude who has a mortgage over shark park will evict the club and build a giant f***en wood fired pizza oven on the dirt!

Ayshford has had his chance,if anything the tigers would know how to exploit him better than any team,Vave needed to be there for his size, the tigers have some big guys in there pack, Arona wasn't needed as we had another 4 or 5 backrowers out there,
D Fifita isn't 1st grade quality & looks a bit lost at times, our pack gets talked up but if anything our squad is missing 1 or 2 legit big men,we couldn't contain Woods & Galloway consistently.Sharp is crap.

We had that game and lost it due to some piss poor reads in defence on our right side.

Takeaway those moments I think we played alright.
Players were busting their backsides off, feeling sorry for those guys.

Anyway, it just sums up our 2014 season, we can probably now write this year off now and we just have to concentrate on not getting the spoon.

Are you happy AASADA and the NRL, you are succeeding in destroying our great club.

**** you and **** off.

In your head, rent free
our right edge defense needs to introduce themselves to the team...

gordon needs to learn how to clean up a kick

todd needs to run

simple things you can learn at training but we dont

Many teams have worked out that this side (right side) is our weakest, it gets proven every week.

I wouldn't mind seeing a stat on points conceded on the right side in comparison to the left side.

The pennies pack ain't all that big and they're doing alright.

I still think Ayshford would have been a better option (for this game only). I think he would have lifted for it.

Luke and GIL mentioned that Ayshford has been told to look elsewhere (fair enough) so I guess that has something to do with it.

This talk of Flanno coaching from the sidelines is rubbish. And all you guys bringing it up as a possibility will do nothing other than draw suspicion with a possibility of the NRL investigating.

Do yourselves a favor. Zip it and stop spreading rumors about the club.

Is Luke Lewis 100% yet? He normally babysits Carney doesn't he? Maybe the strenghth isn't back in his arm yet and we need to let him recover fully.

We're all slitting out wrists and understandably given the season is over, but the reason we are in this position is pretty simple, an interim coach who was never going to work.

The side that ran out last night was almost full strength, certainly as strong as the team that made the finals last year. But the competition is very close and the decision to put in a coach who clearly can't motivate the team to play for him is the difference in these tight games. We have plenty of stars in the side, Gallen is playing his best footy but there's no structure and no desperation in defence. The side is virtually the same that almost beat Manly in the semis, but actually has our star half in the team.

Yes we've had injuries, Carney is being criticised rightly for his defence, however he is clearly no where near 100% fit, he is throwing good passes, but his hamstrings are affecting his ability to run and defend, even if it's just a mental effect, if Benji has signed I doubt Carney would be back yet. The likes of Gordon, Gallen, Heino had great games last night. Yes the outside backs are crap, but they were crap last year also. The difference is clearly coaching, as Gallen said earlier in the year, it's like having a relief teacher this year, the kids are mucking up.

The board is responsible for all this. 1 For appointing an interim coach 2 For signing Flanno again so early in the season when he well could be proven to have caused this mess.

The sad thing is this team which looks good on paper was put together for short term success. The ageing roster meant our window of opportunity was only 2 or 3 years, last year was good, this year has been completely wasted because of the board's coaching decision and by next year the likes of Gallen, Lewis, Gordon etc will be another year into their 30s.

And one last thing for my rant. A lot of us are calling for an injection of youth. I watched all three grades yesterday and there is no way Holmes is ready for first grade and certainly not to replace Gordon who played well last night. He would crumble under the pressure of playing in a losing first grade side, just as he struggled in the under 20s origin. If Lichaa was staying at the club he should be in the side, but he's nothing special at the moment so what's the point of grooming him for the dogs? Brown didn't play yesterday, Manumenali didn't play, so there isn't a lot there banging down the door demanding selection. The big centre in the under 20s did look good.

Season over, window to win a comp over, sack the board, rant over.
