Or maybe you're just to stupid to understand that the difference between DeGois and Lichaa is very minimal and the more game time we give Lichaa the better he will be for the dogs next year. If Lichaa was considerably better than DeGois you would play him. Dead set you are acting like a spoilt little kid who didn't get what he wanted.
You still live on the insular peninsula bro? I'd imagine.

I don't see that Liccha will have surpassed Degois by the halfway point of the season. The reason so many of us wanted him in firsts was because he has a lot of upside - a lot of potential - that we'd hoped we could draw out of him for the benefit for the team for years to come.

If Degois really isn't good enough, why not put a junior in who will actually be with the Sharks next year? Liccha doesn't seem head and shoulders above our other options right now, and his attitude? Whether he's been pumped up by his Dad, the media or both, he's way too big for his boots. Sounds like if you'd have asked him he would have said he was ready for first grade when he was 12.

We have players who want to be at the club. We have players a million times better then Liccha who've taken pay cuts just to stay. He doesn't deserve to play in the same team as them.
You're not looking at our options. Brown is a year further away than Lichaa, and cannot play FG this year due to cap stuff anyway. I don't think the coaching staff are even considering it. So you're going to develop Politini then? Or Penani? Or is it Degois?

Basically I flat out disagree with the idea that Lichaa cannot play first grade at a high level this year. I think he could and he would quickly. But the coach has consulted and they're being bitches about it and the coach is listening. It's retarded.

Correct. And the difference between DeGois and Morris is not a whole lot either. Face it, we have very poor options at number 9.
The difference between Degois and Morris is enormous.

You are greatly over rating Morris then. What, because he "shows energy" when he comes on? Please, he is just as ineffective as DeGois. Neither are creative players.

Yes, I hear the bourgeoisie frown upon uncouth Rugby League clubs that refuse to develop players for opposing clubs.
I live in Erskineville, so I may be bourgeoise, although I'm a renter so I doubt it. Anyway the Shire is all tradies with multi million dollar businesses and houses these days isn't it? Ha. No I've got no problem with you slide but Deano called me stupid so I had to get into him.

I do think however that the attitude of some people on this forum to Lichaa's departure is a little blinkered.

Morris has set up tries, scored them himself, made great runs from dummy half, has a kicking game (was it the titans game he kicked for Wright in the corner? Great kick, almost a try), and gives very few penalties. he also appears to lead by example and increase the tempo of the game which is in this day and age a huge part of the 9's job. The attack starts with dummy half.

Do me a highlights reel of Degois last season and this. A few great legs tackles. Roll credits. He was sent to the bench very quickly last year and hasn't started since.

You might want to re-evaluate your evaluation of Morris. Morris has very few try assists in the scheme of things. In 2012 I'm pretty sure he made 0 line breaks. He had a slightly better year last year but was still very, very ineffective. His "great" runs from dummy half result in what? Maybe 10 metres. When he does run he never looks to promote the football like the best Hookers. Don't even talk to me about his "kicking" game. He doesn't have one.

The only weapon Morris has is the trick shot close to the line where he turns it inside to a crash runner. And did you see how he tried it twice to no effect against the dogs late in the game the other night. He should have learned from the first time. Ordinary player who fit's our 20 to 20 scheme and that is all.

What you've just done is highlight how bad Degois is. Because the difference between the two is huge.

I reckon the only reason Lichaa got a run was to rattle de gois cage, by being put in reggies. I think that young master Lichaa will see more field time when the big guns come back and De Gois reverts to his sluggish pace. I look forward to seeing Lichaa in the best team we can field , just like so many were calling for all last year.

regardless of whether the gap is big or small, neither of them should be in our first grade side.

No the only reason Lichaa got a run was because the club was trying to keep him. Too little too late

LATEMAIL: Sharks v Dragons

Sharks: Gun playmaker Todd Carney has trained strongly this week in preparation for his first game of the season, having shaken off a hamstring injury. Hooker Michael Lichaa has made a well-documented exit from the squad after signing with the Bulldogs and Isaac de Gois has been recalled. Front rower David Fifita will be omitted after being named on an extended bench in the wake of Monday's NRL debut.

Dragons: Expected to be 1–17 for the local derby. Forwards Jack de Belin (cork) and Jack Stockwell (hamstring) are still battling for fitness after being named on an extended bench and will be monitored in a final training session today.

I just received this email -

"Please be aware we are now allowing Junior League passes into this weekend’s game against the Dragons."

Good work Sharks.
