Considering we need some young guys, let's go hard for Evans. And sign him for 3-4 years, not 2!

I like Bromwich, however much rather throw our money at 1-5.... Between Reece Robinson, Mansour, Tafua we can get some real quality

The words Reece Robinson and quality should never be associated.

Mansour would be great. Can have some dodgy hands but he is fast and strong. George jennings could be a good buy also. He would be a strong centre.

haha really? i dont mind him, was never high on Mansour but by all accounts he has turned everything around including off the field. I reckon he would be a top centre/winger for us and i know for a fact he wants to return to the area

Robinson isn't a winger and just isn't good enough to be a fullback IMO.

Its probably been said or suggested before but I don't know why we don't or other league teams don't send talent scouts to South Africa, after watching a bit of the Super 15 in the last year or so & there is some real backline talent players that would make a quicker transition than forwards or halves.

In SA There are only 5 provinces that have teams in the super 15 so I would presume only x amount of players our pro sportsman so there would have to more than a few who would jump at the opportunity to be on the min wage in the NRL of 80k wouldn't there.

CANBERRA RAIDERS PROPS IN NRL MERRY-GO-ROUND

Dane Tilse

The Canberra Raiders will perhaps have most front-rowers on the open market at the end of this season. Representative duo Brett White and Tom Learoyd-Lahrs will both be off contract, as will be veteran Dane Tilse.

It is also understood the management of Kangaroos and Queensland prop David Shillington, who is under contract to the Raiders until the end of 2015, was shopping him around to rival clubs last year.

Raiders chief executive Don Furner said discussions had yet to begin about new contracts for Learoyd-Lahrs, White and Tilse. The focus instead was on getting through the first month of the competition.

Furner also said the Raiders would monitor the progress of their young forwards such as Shannon Boyd, Paul Vaughan, Mark Nicholls and Sam Mataora before making decisions about their older players.
