CRONULLA Sharks have brought back the old and introduced the new for their outside backs in 2014 with the signings of former Origin star Eric Grothe jnr and Manly’s promising Jacob Gagan.
Sharks coach Shane Flanagan seemed as excited about nabbing the tall Gagan as he is about the comeback of the guitar-playing Grothe after three years out of the game.
On Gagan, Flanagan said the youngster had ‘‘unlimited potential’’.
‘‘He is an Australian Schoolboys representative still eligible for Under 20s ... but he’s too good for that group,’’ he said of Gagan, an Eel junior, who will train with the Sharks NRL squad.
Jacob Gagan is just the sort of winger/centre we need. Fast and elusive. Our backs are looking a lot better for the future just need a gun now to challenge in 2014/2015 but between Gagan, Simona, Brown and Holmes the future is looking better.
Who is holmes, never knew about him

good signing, very highly rated the last five years
wing or fullback extremely quick
flanno is incorrect he is too old for 20s next season
wouldn't surprise me at all if he beats feki and grothe for that left wing spot
Gagan holy **** this is our best signing
he is young to play First grade
