Here's a guy who didn't get laid last night.
I thought our attack showed signs of a decent improvement. Last tackle options weren't always the best but there were moments of greatness.
The Carney bullet pass (called forward) to Stapo shows that he's playing what's in front of him and he's got the skills to execute the right play. Carney's chip to Wright who toed it twice down the sideline was gold. Another example of blokes playing what's in front of them. Gordon is back and is chiming in on back line movements and immediately looks a whole heap better.
We've looked way worse in the past. Even if some of those plays don't come off they're encouraging. There were a few plays that didn't quite come off last night that could've put is another 12 points up.
Yeah, don't think it's anywhere near the worst we've played. Although the way we dropped off in those last five minutes was atrocious, and should be a real wake up call to complacency and thinking you have a game wrapped up. Can't have that in finals footy. If that were the Storm or Rabbitohs, we would have been toweled up then.
Broncos might have had plenty of quality players out, but so did we. Gal, Fifita, Lewis, Beau, Wade, Toops. Their forwards came out on a mission to belt us, and they did. Played with a lot of desperation. I bet our initial game plan would have been to play it down Graham's edge all night, but that got cut short. Thought everyone played well with what they could (except Robson).
