Yes but its random. The phone can show a signal but you can't talk text to the outside world - nothing happens. I sit in the ET upper and am with optus. I thought it might have been something to do with the stand.

I think it has something to do with network traffic. Each on of those panels on the mobile tower can only host so many simultaneous calls/messages/3G activities. I can't remember the exact figures but when i used to work in that industry a dude told me and I was surprised at how little each tower can handle at any one time.

I work in Telco and and can confirm it's not necessarily a reception issue but bandwith issue with so many users in the one place trying to use the network at once. Just like on New Years eve when its tough to make a call or send an SMS

Same thing will happen with 4G on your phone. It's quick now but as more people adopt 4G handsets your data will get slower

Actually glad people have brought this up as I forgot how tough it is to use the phone at Shark Park

Same as big festivals ie. soundwave and BDO. It also feels like the battery drains quicker.

Also go the sharks lol

Anyone know how the 2 for 1 offer works through ticketek? Does it just give this to you automatically after you purchase the 1x ticket?
